For those of you that are pro-choice but say you aren't pro-abortion can I ask why you wouldn't be able to have an abortion or not for abortion for yourself?

I couldn't have one for myself as I know that I am a good mother, financially able to care for a baby, and in my body, I couldn't imagine having to terminate my pregnancy.

But, I have never been raped. I have never had my life at risk because of a baby. I have never been in a position where I could not nor would not want to keep my baby or provide a decent life for them. I can not make a decision for someone when I have never ever been in their position. Especially, one in reguards to their health. I, also, do not want to see more unwanted and abused children come into a world where they are unwanted and unloved.

But, that doesn't take away the fact that I still see it as murder and stealing human rights from another human being. I realize that not everyone thinks that way, but regardless of how someone else believes, I feel that way with my child, your child and any other potential life. Who created the child does nothing to change my view. If my neighbor chooses to have an abortion, her choice, its still murder in my eyes.

I guess that even with the inevitabiilty of abortion, I don't get the sugarcoating it. Call it what it is if that's what you believe even though you don't agree with it. You are giving others the right to murder a child. I've accepted it when I took my stance.

But that's just it, it depends on your point of view. Plenty of people don't equate abortion with infanticide or murder.

As for the Peta statement: I compare PETA more to anti-abortion protesters. Both are trying to force their beliefs.

Pro-choice, not a Peta member. Though I do disagree with the abuse of animals, I do eat meat. I just try to do locally small farm raised meat when possible. But, that's a completely different topic.

I get that. Im not talking about those people or that situation. Im asking those that say they could never have an abortion themselves but say its a choice thing. If you can't have an abortion yourself because YOU think its murder, do you see someone else's abortion murder, regardless of the choice issue and if the other person does believe the same as you, even though you support the idea that they can choose.

And as such, the sentiments within your comments don't and shouldn't have any bearing on how the law applies to those people. I have no problem with putting an exception into Roe v. Wade that excludes its applicable for people who disagree with it. No one should be required to accept Choice for themselves; they should be allowed to hold that they have no choice and must carry the pregnancy to term.

Let me take issue with just the one bit: In doing so, you're basically fostering hate within our society. By thinking of someone else as a "murderer" for doing what they think is perfectly acceptable conduct, you're crafting an unresolvable conflict, which only serves to poison interpersonal relationships in our society. It is absolutely your right to do so, but it doesn't reflect God's love, doesn't serve the cause of peace.

It is possible to be sad about something without harboring hate as result.

the problem with that to the anti abortion crowd, is it is not a compromise, it is still happening within the first 6 months of a pregnency.

Any perspective can be built so as to be black-and-white, if that is the intention. There is always a compromise possible; refusing to engage in compromise, refusing to seek a peaceful resolution to a conflict, it is a deliberate decision that those making that decision have to take personal accountability for the ramifications of.
