Next Nov we plan to spend 8 nights at BWV(our home) followed be the 4 night cruise.......then we have 8 more nights to play with! Would you stay at OKW for 8 nights, Vero for 8 nights or split it and do 4 nights at each? Do you think that would be too much moving around? We have visited both Vero and OKw but never stayed at either! Please help!!

Finally, would you choose a 1 bed or Inn room at Vero? What are the views from the 1 bed?

Thanks for your help guys

Vero is my favorite DVC resort, so I would go with Vero. But it depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for more park time (OKW) or more relax time (Vero). Some people might think that 8 days at Vero might be a little too much relax time, espedially after the cruise, but I am not one of them.

I would go with the one bedroom at Vero without a doubt. A visit to Vero is more resort centered than a trip to WDW and the extra room, kitchen and hot tub come in handy. The views from the one bedrooms vary. Some are of the foliage, others are of the ocean from some of the rooms, and others are full ocean view. I have had many different types of views and all of them have been great, even the non ocean views. Whatever you are looking out onto, you can always hear the ocean wherever you are. If an ocean view is important you can request a top floor unit facing the ocean. This is not guaranteed, of course, but you can ask.

I love Vero but around day 4 we start getting antsy I would split it up because Vero is beautiful and very relaxing

One of my favorite aspects about OKW is probably one of the least favorite among many who post on this board:

The fact that it's "on property," but "not in the middle of all the action."

You will have done all the "park stuff" (I'm assuming) while you're at BWV. When you come back from the cruise - you probably want to relax before you prepare to come back to the "real world."

IMHO - Vero AND OKW are both perfectly suited for that!

With 8 days - I "would" consider splitting it between the 2 resorts - ESPECIALLY if you haven't had the chance to visit them before - this would be a great opportunity!!

Have a great trip - I'm SO envious!
(But I'm leaving for Vero & WDW tomorrow morning - so .."I'll get over it!..") :)

I personnaly would split up the time between both Vero and OKW. I've been to both. Vero is a beautiful resort but very quiet. To me, it would be great to get to do both resorts too!

I'm assuming it's just the 2 of you and this is the 8 days after the cruise. You need to do what you feel is best for you. My first thought is to do 4-5 days at VB in an Ocean View Inn room (2-3 people) and then back to OKW for the remaining 3-4 days (1 BR). Especially if you're flying out of Orlando. If you're driving, you might also want to consider a few days at HH. Another option is to consider an exchange to one of the Marriott's (Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, HH) or to Daytona Beach, but htis would greatly depend on when you're going as to the recommendations.

Dean,
I doubt they(Debs Hill) will drive back to England.:D But I agree with your above post,do VB first for a few days, then OKW.You will then only be 30 minutes away from (MCO) airport.

LOL, I didn't even look at the profile. You never know though.

Here is another vote for splitting the time between VB and OKW.

Thanks for all your opinions, it looks like a split between Vero and OKw would be the best idea. Can you tell me what the weather is like at Vero in Nov? Is it warm enough to swim, and is there much beach at that time of year? We went to visit the resort on our last trip in October and it was VERY windy and there was no beach! The pool felt a little cool! What is there to do at Vero if the weather is not kind to us?

I also say vero because after a cruise you need some place to relax and get your stomach straightened out!!
