Vero Beach

If you like the oceanfront grand villas they are a great deal...

for a beachfront timeshare VB points aren't too bad actually....

For SAP I wouldn't recommend them though....
I haven't stayed there yet, but we are this year and im looking forward to it! I did watch videos of the cottages, they are beautiful!

Are they fake oceanfront like Aulani or actual oceanfront??? Sigh I need to do some research

I don't think they are actual ocean front, but very close. I haven't been there, so I could be wrong. I'm under impression that foliage goes between the entire resort and the beach. They don't want any lights hitting the beach because it confuses the turtles when they hatch. First floor of everything there just sees the bushes.

Whew! Just saved me from doing something I said I would never ever do buy Vero Beach

Don’t do it… 🫣
I don't think I can unless I stayed there and knew we really liked it. That said, if I did, I gotta say, compared to the aforementioned Jersey Shore rental prices, if I knew our family would like a week every year at VB as much as we do at OCNJ, it would really be way more economical to pick up some points at VB than it would be to pay the astronomical prices you pay for a week long rental at the Jersey Shore.

You’ll have to use your points and visit. I hope to within 2 years.

Hi, long time VB owner! 🙋‍♀️

So I will say this...DH and I purchased our first DVC contract in 2001, 150 points direct from Disney at VB (I think we paid $70 for direct pricing with incentives). It was the only resort for sale (and re-sale was not really a thing...). We still have and love this contract. While we don't visit VB every year, when we do go, we love the resort and we love the beach-y town feel. There is a really nice half marathon in the town of Vero Beach at the end of January (that starts and ends at a nice park a couple of miles from the resort) and we love to run this race so it's great to book VB when we want to do this (we are not from FL so it's a real treat for us).

The resort is right on the beach and the ocean front views from the Inn are gorgeous. The cast members are amazing. And the quick service at the pool is👌.

I can see why most people would not want to own at VB because ugh, those dues...but for us, it works and we love it. I'll be sad to see this contract go in 2042. Like all things DVC, it's not one size fits all. 💜
