Hi guys.

I was on the phone with MS making a ressie for Vero Beach, and it turned out that the DVC-Advisor I was talking to, owns at VB.

Since the last time I went to the beach, Atlantic City, NJ 5 years ago via Hotels.com (Never Again, shudder), and we were attacked by flies, fleas and hermit crabs, I decided I was done with the shore, not to mention that whole sand everywhere thing.

Anyway for those who have stayed or own at Vero Beach, it sounds absolutely lovely. My guide gushed about all the things to do there for well over 5 minutes. I really thought it sounded nice. So tell me your Pros & Cons, your likes and dislikes. I probably won't go in the ocean, but I do like strolls on the beach.....

TIA

-Tony

It is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful, and I cannot stand more than three days of it. :rotfl2: There are beach people and non beach people, and I am in the latter category. My family and I went for five nights last August and had a great time, but after three days, I was ready to go to WDW!! I guess I need a little more excitement or distraction on vacation.

With that being said, my son loved it. We are on the waitlist for three days over Memorial Day Weekend, and my son is praying daily for it to come through. I on the other hand, can relax at OKW for those three days and not have sand in my swimsuit and other places. Ahem. :scared:

Get a Beach Cottage and bring all your friends, That ought to use a few of those points. :thumbsup2

P.S. I never saw a frog my whole time there. Something to think about!! :scratchin

Tammy, you are TOO funny :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for the info. I'm kinda thinking 2-3 days before WDW and 2-3 days after WDW to make it into a 2 week vacation (Drive down from Joisey!)

 NO frogs  Now that is something to think about!

Great place for R&R. Be prepared for sitting by the pool or walking on the beach. If you bore easily, then limit your stay to 2-3 days. If you go to Sonya's, make sure you get the Key Lime Pie, it is the best!!

PS

Bring bug spray for the nightime. :cool2: :cool2:
