Vero Beach Question

Yes. The resort takes cash reservations (subject to availability).

Best wishes -

Thanks
Anyway to book online? or should i call.
You may be able to book online if you go through Expedia or Travelocity or some other online TA.

Personally, I'd call the resort direct after checking to see if there are any special codes or discounts available for your dates.

The Birmbaum WDW Guidebook generally has a discount included for VB and sometimes Disney Visa has one.

Good luck -

I seem to remember they had some pretty good cash discount rates sometime last year (before the hurricanes). I want to say it was around $99. I don't remember what kind of restrictions they imposed. I would call the resort - I was not able to find anything online directly from Disney when I looked.

Go Illini!!!

You can book via CRO 1-(407) W-DISNEY or 1-800-828-0228

I called them last week to compare if they had the cash rate through them for any less than with the member discount through DVC. I booked our weekends cash with the member discount for our upcoming Vero stay.

They currently have a promotion going for cash customers booking studios at VB for $139.00 per night for stays 4/4 - 4/14/05 and 4/24 - 5/18/05 if you are a Disney Visa cardholder. You must book by May 15,2005

Not sure if that helps anyone but it's out there if anyone's interested and booking cash through CRO;)

Beware! I tried it with cash and then found myself adding on with Vero Beach points! It may be addictive! :earseek:

We're there for two weeks this summer, and used cash for the weekends (points are ridiculously high). No availability for members rate (cash) for a 1BR and no other discounts available (YET). I paid rack rate for four weekend nights (around $333 each eve), and will be calling again soon trying to see if ANY discounts are available. :confused3 If not...we are all set to go, and securely confirmed in our 1BR Villa. Nothing can keep us away...we are completely ADDICTED to this resort!!! :wizard: :cloud9:

You could always rent points on the rent/trade board. Do know which would be the better deal, but you could check it out.

We booked 4 nights cash last summer. First time at VB. Staying at VB was the deciding factor for me for buying DVC. We bought at SSR, hoping to go to VB every few years.

DW certainly knew what she was doing when she insisted she would only go to the beach last year if we stayed at VB. :rotfl2:

Reporting to you live from Vero Beach (my home resort)

Occasionally there is an advertised "special" for nonmembers on the
www.disneyvacationclub.com website. If available, there will be a link on the homepage.

OK - enough of the computer - I am going to the pool!

marymrg,

hope you are having a great time at VB. We were there last week and I am having a hard time adjusting to normal life. :sad2:

When you go to the beach, tell Jeff (the guy renting beach chairs) that the "Corona Crew" says 'hi.' :sunny:

MnParrothead........I relayed your message to Jeff via Trey. Jeff wasn't there at the time on Wednesday. (he might have been getting the jetski's in order.) I told him I was passing it along from a "friend" from a Disney Site. I was hoping he would tell me that there were some Coronas hidden along the beach or something. :)

Anyway, I can't believe that I woke up in my northern home today and woke up at my beach home yesterday. It is especially sad since my husband and older son returned to the world without the rest of us. DH is speaking at a conference next week so he gets a really long vacation and DS16 is flying home on Sunday so he can get back to school. I ended up buying AP's with the DVC discount for them so I know it will be easy to talk them into another trip within the year. :smooth:
