Great view... I just booked VB OVIR for next may in the middle of 2 weeks at AKV. Will be our first stay at VB. Your pixs make me glad I opted for the Ocean View!!! Any pix of the kitchenette & bathroom area?

Thanks for the pictures. Just got our confirmation from DVC today- OVIR in Oct. Do all the Ocean View rooms have the same basic vista? Do I need to watch out for "partial views"?

Yes you do. You can get a unit on the either end of the building that has the ocean view off to the side. You should get on the DVC website and email your request for an ocean facing room on the 4th or 2nd floor preferred. The fourth floor will get you the most view of the beach and the laundry room is on the 4th floor. The 3rd floor has a handful of rooms that have a balcony, but they are not covered and get real wet during storms. The second floor though a lower view does have all covered balconies and you can use the staircase down to the lobby instead of waiting for an elevator. The most important thing though is ocean facing.

Thanks Rob. Did not know that about the 3rd floor. I had a request in for 3rd or 4th ocean facing but now I think I will modify it to 4th only. Thanks for the tip.

I just went to the DVC website and I don't see a place to put in a room request. I see "making a reservation" but I'm afraid to do that for fear it will effect my current reservation. What am I missing?

As far as room requests.... just email them... They have been real good about responding and telling me whether my request is done or not do-able.

We had a 3rd floor ocean facing room in mid May which was a great location.......we were directly above the Green Cabin Room.....I think there are three rooms there......all covered (no rain) with really nice size balconies....great location because its directly dead center of the inn. We slept every night with our balcony door ajar so we could fall asleep listening to the ocean.
