Hi Everyone,

I'm planning a sibling reunion for Labor Day weekend & a few days thereafter and was wondering what is there to do for adults only. I picked VB because no one is really into the parks, so I thought a beach getaway would be fun.

Do they have volleyball nets on the beach? Any tennis courts? Where are the barbeque grills located, around the pool area or spread out among the resort?

I really appreciate any feedback that you can offer.

Thank you!
Julia

Hi Julia,

Here is a link to our VB info thread
. It is very long, but a lot of info is on the first page.

I have never seen volleyball on the beach. The resort has a lake with a couple grills and picnic tables, and there is a soccer field, tennis courts, volleyball court (sand), basketball courts, and catch/release fishing is allowed.

You can rent bikes also. The Jungle trail hike/bike trail runs right by the lake area and goes for miles north and south.

The Green Cabin Room is in the INN and offers adult drinks and light fare along with some type of live entertainment in the evenings.

Hope you have a great time :beach:

To me, the main adult activity at VB is relaxation. Walk on the beach, relax, go to dinner, relax, have a drink, relax, sit at the pool and (you got it) relax.

Have fun and relax!

Julia,
My wife did a girls weekend down there and ABSOLUTELY had a ball.... everything mentioned above plus they did a night at Capt Hirams beach bar.

We *relaxed* and also visited McKee Botanical Gardens, Walmart, Squid Lips (saw dolphins during our very pleasant lunch), Cap'n Hirams, Mel Fisher's Treasure Museum. I think it's a great place for adults.

We loved doing the wine tasting with MaryAnne!

Thank you all for your input. I also appreciate the links for further information and pictures.

I can't wait to go and of course relaxing will probably be the #1 activity of our trip.

Julia
