This March my family and I will have our second stay at Vero for our annual Spring Training trip.

Is there a thread somewhere that outlines the area restaurants? We ate on property last time and found the experience less than stellar.

Can someone point me to the info?

Booked 1 night, December 12. This is before our December 13th sailing out of Miami. It really is a perfect way to get a mindset for going on a cruise!

I'll be bringing some timeshare supplies down for my stay..Can you or anyone tell me if the coffee pots have a cone or basket type filter??

Can someone tell me about the unbirthday parties and s'mores/campfires? How often do they happen? My daughter has celiac so I want to plan to bring gluten free cupcakes and graham crackers but not sure how much to plan. Also the cooking classes...have any of your children done these?

My son, 5, still talks about the unbirthday party. I believe they played musical chair, had a craft, received candy and decorated a cupcake. I'm sure if you call the resort, they would be able to answer the questions you may have.

When I look at the list that is in the first post of this thread (looks like it is a scan of whatever they used to hand out), most of the restaurants are closed.

We love ocean grill! One night we get pizza delivered from orchid island next door and eat in the room or by the pool. They have good pizza and calzones. We also love the deli next door called penny hill. It's nice to walk over there and bring back sub sandwiches. They also do breakfast items and hot food. They make their bread fresh daily. I get sick of the quick service good at the resort.

We've also enjoyed captain butchers, captain hirams and mulligans. Would pick butchers before hirams. Kilwins for ice cream.

Have heard good things about riverside cafe.

Hi Jennifer,
Me & my husband took our first trip to Vero this past November. The food at the resort was below average, with the exception of Sonia's, which was good. We loved, loved, loved The Lemon Tree (breakfast & lunch). We found it on Trip Adviser. I believe they serve dinner, also, certain times of the year. We also loved Citrus Grill, it was excellent. Ocean Grill & Scampi Grill were good. Squid Lips was disgusting. Look on Trip Advisor & Yelp for some yummy food pics! Enjoy!

when we were there last October the campfire was offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 830PM weather permiting. The unbirthday party was offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2PM in the community hall. registration is required day of and open to ages 4-10. If you are driving down and passing thru Melbourne there is a awesome gluten free restaurant and bakery that does cake, cakes and bread. Let me know and I will get you the name and directions. My wife has celiacs and we stop there every trip

Or specifically is anyone interested in working out a swap in late May?

I've read Walmart or CVS would be the best places to buy beach chairs and umbrellas - does that remain true?
