Vera Bradley lovers... help would be appreciated!

Im wondering the 4 new colors just out how long do they usually stick around ?? will they still be there in the winter collection ?? because I,ll hurry to get the pieces that I want lol...

I visited a signature store in CT today-- DBF and I took a fun day trip to a new mall, which conveniently had a VB store. It was a lot of fun, but I found the salesgirls to be very...pushy. I wanted to make this decision on my own (about what type of bag to get), and she wouldn't go away...even though I dropped tons of hints!
I ended up with a pleated tote in Mocha Rouge!! I love it-- I'll use it as a bag to bring to work in the winter. I like its sturdy bottom and roominess! LOVE this new pattern!

Went to the Wrentham Premium Outlets on the way back from a short camping trip to Cape Cod. On 495 south of Worcester. This was this past Thursday, so I don't know if the sale is still on. Everything in the store except the rolling luggage was 30% of the outlet price. The place was packed what great deals. I bought a mini hipster, price on tag $45.oo, outlet price $31.99, after the 30% off it was only $22.39. A mini zip wallet $27.00 marked down to outlet price $15.00 after 30% off only $10.49. This is my first venture into Vera Bradley. My good friend and her 3 daughters are fanatics. The have brought me over to the dark side. LOL Now I am wishing I bought a tote or duffel also.

I actually thought that Vera Bradley was for "old" ladies , then my sister gave me a change purse for my birthday, then the matching eye glass pouch and now I'm a believer! Oh, and BTW.....I AM old!

I went to a authorized Vera Bradley retailer today instead of a regular Vera Bradley store. I only had the intention of looking around and seeing if they had anything I wanted on sale. I ended up purchasing a hipster in Safari Sunset full price because the sales people were so friendly. It was fun to dish with people in person about Vera Bradley. They had a gift with purchase the choice between a change purse and an adorable compact mirror in the fall patterns but they ended up giving me both to match my bag (score!).

I think I will be bring at least 3 vera bags with me to Disney World in November. The Safari Sunset pattern looked like it would be cute for Animal Kingdom.

The outlet in Chicago (Aurora) had everything 30% off too! We got 3 large duffel bags, a huge tote, a wristlet & cosmetic bag for under $200. I put away a couple for my girls for christmas, but I will probably give in & give them to them earlier for vacation.

Oh gosh, me too! When my step daughter told me she wanted a Vera Bradley bag I'm sure the look on my face was "WHAT?!". I knew little about them and I certainly never thought my 11 year would want one! I know my response was "You mean those overpriced quilted bags at Crabtree and Evelyn?" I didn't say "old lady bags" but that was always my impression. They used to be very muted colors that just were not appealing to me in any way. A very crabby mean teacher I'd had in high school had one, so that didn't help my impression at all. When I went to the website for the first time I was SO surprised at how much things had changed! I think Very Berry Paisley had just come out. That is still one of my favorite prints!! The prices are still kind of high in my opinion but the sales are often and that's when you strike!!! My step daughter is drawn to anything that "retires" products. She was obsessed with Webkinz when in grade school. Now that she's a very stylish 7th grader we've moved on to bags! I've always been a Coach addict and I was a bit worried that she would follow my lead. That's a pricey addiction! She actually got a Coach bag last Christmas from her grandparents. She liked it...carried it for about a week...and now it sits in her closet. She's a VB girl for now!

I just purchased a Double ID wristlet in Mocha Rouge for our upcoming trip to Disney! I also got a Very Berry Paisley wallet for my step daughter. We're all set!!!

I agree with your initial reaction to your daughter's Vera love. I used to be on dis and hear about Vera all the time so I checked out the Vera website and could not understand the hype. I thought they were ugly.

With the new patterns I am all about Vera now. I love how the bags and accessories are so fun, feminine, and functional. I like the patterns but I love all of the pockets and organizational features in the products. I used a big tote bag style of purses and have to dig for everything. Now everything is in a designated pocket. I bought my first Vera product a hanging organizer (awesome product!!) in Bali Gold purely for the organization features. It took me a while to warm up to the bold prints.

Large duffels on sale for $49! of course, I bought one last week for $59 My dd's used large duffels to pack for a whole week last summer. Very roomy! I got purple punch because I have the super tote in that pattern. I'm so tempted to buy a couple for gifts but none of my friends like VB

I think I am going to get a Lizzy as my next purchase. My two sisters both have one and every time I see someone with a Lizzy I really want one! They're so cute.

I have a Lizzy in Make Me Blush and I bought one for my eleven year old niece in Blue Lagoon for our upcoming trip. It is a very cute bag. The only problem I have with it is that it is so small. I know I can't use it as my day to day Mary Poppins bag that I carry my whole life in. I am planning on bringing it to WDW to hold my cannon powershot camera, cell phone, and some cash.

My niece loves her bag. I introduced her to Vera a couple of months ago and was unsure if she liked it a first. I made her keep the Lizzy at my house so it would stay nice for our upcoming trip. Everytime we go out she wants to take it with her. The other day we went out shopping and she saw a woman with a plum petals purse and she whispered to me, "That lady has a Vera Bradley too!" Needless to say it was a very proud moment for this auntie.

Thanks for the info! It looks like you can order online. I don't know which pattern to get Mocha Rougue or Happy Snails.

8/9 ETA: I had to go into town so I accidentally parked close to my VB retailer and went in just to have a look at the 100 bag. It really is cute, but didn't thrill me, so I didn't buy it. Even though they had it in Mocha Rouge which is the color I was thinking of.

They did, however, have a backpack in Safari Sunset. I'm going to treat myself to that when I finally get a j-o-b.

I was thinking about the handbag in Mocha Rouge too but I looked at it online and it did nothing for me. The bag looks like a mini duffle bag. I was tempted just because the price was reasonable and I wanted something in Mocha Rouge.

I guess I will wait and get the Vera bag I have been eyeballing after my Disney trip in November. Is it bad that I am planning on taking a morning off from the parks to check out the Vera outlet in Orlando?

I can't wait to hear your feedback about the Safari Sunset backpack.
