Vera Bradley lovers... help would be appreciated!

Okay, I just did it.

I got the Large Hobo in Call Me Coral and the Pleated Tote in Raspberry Fizz.
It's ordered. It's done! It's out of my hands! :rotfl:

I also think their shipping costs are outrageous. :(

Another Vera Bradley lover here! I have a Hannah in Kensington for my purse and a Vera in Pink Elephants for my school bag.

I'm quite scared. Next week I'm going to a Vera Bradley Signature store in Natick. I want to get an Emma in Sittin in a Tree, but I have a feeling that won't be the only thing I walk out with...;)

One question for anyone who has one: what can you fit in a mini hipster? I want to get one for future trips to WDW and other places. My little backpack with Tinker Bell on it ripped at the clasp from over-use. I'd need to fit in an autograph book, some cash, a camera, sunscreen, a pen, lip gloss, and a cell phone. Thanks!

You "might" be able to fit those things in a mini hipster, but you want to ask youself how much stuff you want in a small bag. You may not want to have your big filled to capacity. It doesn't sound like you have a lot of stuff, but if you have a little room to spare, it'll be easier to find things when you need it. Anyone out there, with a mini hipster?? What are your experiences??

Ok, I just went and got my mini-hipster. I think you might have trouble fitting the autograph book. I put a mini photo album in mine just now to see and it barely fit. Cash, a camera(I have a thin digital) a phone, lipstick, pen would be fine. Sunscreen:confused3 depends on the size but may be tight.

Alright, thanks for the info. :) I might have to cart some stuff down and test for myself. I was sure hoping though, it was small and looks perfect for the job. VB needs a medium hipster. :rotfl:

I just searched and found my dds autograph book and I got it to fit in the outside pocket! It's a spiral bound standard autograph book so you might be ok getting all that in it if you have a thin phone and camera and get a small tube of sunscreen. What pattern are you thinking of?? This whole thread has me dying to get another bag:lmao:

I love Vera Bradley but I have not had luck finding a purse that is comfortable for me to carry every day. I think most of them are either too tiny or huge. :(

I didn't wanna say it but, yeah, I think it's ugly. :rotfl:
It's just not me. I like the Hobo, the On the Go, the handbag, etc... more design-less purses. I wasn't wild about the Stephanie either.

I love my Cargo Sling but it's too big. It's just too much space so I think the On the Go will be perfect, but I like that the Hobo hold it's shape.

I feel pretty much the same way about those same bags, and I have the cargo sling too. I gave DD a wish list of bags and patternes to pick from and she chose that bag in Medallion. It's too big for me. I downsized to the Libby, in Bali Gold. It's essentially the same bag, with the a zippered pocket on the back, 2 snap close pockets up front and 3 slip pockets inside, only it's smaller and more managable for me. I love it!

Call Me Coral or Bali Gold; something summer-y and colorful.

I fought the Vera urge for awhile but finally gave in last year. My regular every day bag is a Louis Vuitton but it is heavy and after having it vomited on TWICE by my toddler I decided to get something lighter and that would be washable. :rotfl:

I now have a weekender, two totes, a purse, a tech case and two wallets:laughing: And I just purchased a large backpack in Sittin' in a Tree and the matching all in one on Ebay for our upcoming trip next month. I thought it would be easier to hold all of the kids stuff in a backpack since I could throw it on my back as opposed to slinging a huge tote over my shoulder.

I keep wanting to order with the code but the shipping deters me. It's a mental block. I would rather a free ship code and just pay full price for the bag even though in the end I know it works out the same.:headache:

Here's part of my collection!! :thumbsup2 (Wrote a blog post on obsessions. DH walked in and saw all of that together and about had a heart attack. Oops!)

My absolute favorite bag is the Reversible Tote ... I can get my VB planner, half a dozen bagels, a paperback and the rest of my usual purse crap in there all at once. The outside pockets are perfect for my cellphone and keys.

I LOVE this :)
It made me smile, and the worst part is that my collection is probably just as much. Now I'm curious to go take a picture and collect all of mine. But now I have to steal a few pieces back from my mom first :lmao:

there is a store coming to Burlington too:thumbsup2
and also Wrentham Outlets......wonder if there will be deals worth driving for

I love Vera!!!!! I currently have a Libby in Java Blue and a Cargo in Pinwheel pink. I'm using the cargo as a diaper bag and it's the perfect size, even has the slots on the sides for bottles. As far as accessories, I have a Java blue mini wallet and checkbook cover. I'm wanting a wristlet next in a newer color, maybe paprika or call me coral.

So I'm thinking about ordering a hipster for my upcoming trip...which one mini or just the regular? Also does the stuff all go to the bottom of the bag and is it hard to get it out? Is the get carried away tote ok to take on a plane?

I don't think its easy to get stuff out of the hipster, I have the regular one not the mini.
I tend to need larger bags like the vera or villager..........but the hipster is nice if i need hands free and don't need to bring a lot of stuff.
i think the tote would be fine on the plane.

what tote is your favorite-especially for a plane ride to hold snacks, magazines, items for the kids?? Also how well do you think the white will hold up in the night and day pattern? I know you can wash them, but wondering how the white ends up looking after heavy use. Also does anyone have the mailbag...how does it differ from the hipster? Thanks

did you all see the current sale this morning? Anything cupcakes pink and cupcakes green are 40% off! Aghh! I just bought the super tote (2 actually because I couldn't decide which color...one will be going back!) and now I want the large duffel also! Seriously, it's only $48!! I really need to stop looking at that website...I really didn't need the super tote and I really don't need the large duffel either but I am finding it really hard to resist

I have the mailbag. It hangs differently and is a different size plus has the flap.My mom uses the hipster and I use the mailbag. Personally, I like it better because it's wider (I can fit a notebook and my planner in it) and it has a zip pocket on the front. Inside, there is a zip pocket that has spaces for credit cards and such. Inside the main compartment, there is 3 of the non-quilted pockets and it's pretty deep. There is a zipper that closes as well as the flap.

Here's a few photos of it:
This is it, hanging on my wall. The two hooks on the wall are the top and the strap is hanging behind it.

And this is me with the bag (I took it using my mirror, but it gives you an idea of the size in proportion.

Sorry they are so large! Hope it helps! :)

I have been reassured by several Dis'ers that Get Carried Away is not only ok to take on a plane, but it should fit under the seat in front of you. I'll be able to confirm this on Wednesday. :woohoo:

:thumbsup2

I don't have the regular hipster just the mini. If I was bringing one to WDW I would bring the mini. I use it when I go into NYC. It fits my phone, camera, individual little packs of wet-ones, lipstick, gum, money, credit cards, a pen. it's so small that it's easy to get stuff out of it:thumbsup2
