I've taken the time to read them all and report the ones that are rude and argumentative......this is the first time I ever felt moved to report posts as being rude and argumentative. It's sad.

Have a nice day, everyone.
I just love tattle tails!!!!

You can tell you are back in junior high when things resort back to "I'm TELLING!!!" :rotfl2:

There was a mod on this thread. If there were rude posts, he would have taken care of it. Instead, he posted a Walt quote. In big font, no less. He fits right in. :lmao:

And now I'm being judged as hypersensitive because I'm trying to stick up for her. Thank you, Mermaid_Ariel, for illustrating my point.

BOW to them, or you will be attacked!

The OP even stated when they posted this thread that they were going to get a lot of slack for posting this, so they already knew this topic was going to get heated.

The statements that are being made have nothing to do with the fact that most people that have posted do not agree with her, but it was the manner in which her arguement was being presented, calling people selfish and stating that Disney is only for children, even though several Walt Disney quotes have been presented contrdicting what she is saying the overall intent of Disney is. While going to Disney for her children may be her intent, that is not the overall intent of the general concept of Disney.

I tell my students all the time that my room is a no snitch zone. Did not think I would ever think that perhaps some adults need a no snitch zone too! haha. Maybe I missed something, but I do not remember reading any posts I thought were rude to the OP. I think everyone was matter of fact. :confused3

I have read all 27 (now 28) pages of posts. I've taken the time to read them all and report the ones that are rude and argumentative. I have to say, in a few years on these boards, this is the first time I ever felt moved to report posts as being rude and argumentative. It's sad.

Have a nice day, everyone.

Well, I have to say that "I'm telling!" is an interesting way to win friends and influence people.

Good job. :thumbsup2

It is great that your cousin loves WDW!! I do want to mention a couple of things. It is a GAC (Guest Assistance Card), not a medical pass. It is to help the CM's know what assistance and/or accomodations the GAC holder might need. It is NOT a front of the line pass. For people with Autism it might have them wait in an area that is not as stressful for them. They might or might not get on the ride faster. Also, the GAC allows the holder and I think up to 5 members in their party to stay together.

I just didn't want anyone thinking a GAC will get you special treatment. It does not. Anyone with a disability that might need special assistance and would like information on the GAC go to the disABILITIES board. They have excellent information on it.

Your correct.

I apologize for not calling it by the correct name. I know years ago it was called pass or something. My point was we were in the front loading area and were escorted there in front of this lady in the line.

Your correct you don't get to the front of the line. We have been sent to the fast past lane and also wait sometimes in the exit area.

We normally break off and his other sibling do the rest of the park while my sister and I spend time in Fantasy land with him, so we would never need to get 6 people in line with us.

Trust me he can get so upset about the wait and seeing the ride but not being able to get on it. Everyone in line anywhere near him would be happy to let him go to the front ratherr than hear him yell. He is huge and he can get so unruly that it is unsafe. The cast members are great and if he is getting upset we normally get on. Trust me when I say he is extreme. He has several other issue besides autism.

We didn't know about the pass for the first 4 or 5 years but a cast member saw him in distress and sent us to Guest Relations for the pass, or GAC.

Thank you for clarifying the GAC fro other readers.

I hope they never shut this thread down. I've had more laughs in this thread than I've had in months. Y'all rock. well most of you. ;)

As far as taking offense, I take offense to the fact that I'm not supposed to ride dumbo, being an adult with no children! I want children, I haven't been lucky enough to have any yet.

Disney is our "happy place." My husband and I just bought DVC so we could go every year! It's not our children bringing us back each year (sometimes more!) It's the child in us. And this November, I'll be on Dumbo!

Though I'm kinda short, so maybe to the OP I won't look like one of those rude adults! :rotfl:

:flower3: okay, enough of the bickering...we all want to ride Dumbo...

why not slap on your mouse ears & hop on for a virtual ride?:woohoo:

OT - can't resist...welcome home:thumbsup2

I have sat here and read all 28 pages so far...:surfweb: And all I have to say is, I haven't rode Dumbo in years, but my next visit I will be standing in line. Just gotta make sure I can still do it.:rotfl2: Look out here comes Mama....

Thanks to both of you for bringing this up and explaining. I have a friend at work that has a child who is autistic. This whole concept might help him decide to take a trip to WDW. He has reservations based on how his son might react to waiting for rides etc. Not so much because of the wait time as the environment. He doesn't want to stress his son anymore then he wants to impose stress on others vacations if his son has a reaction. I believe his kid would love it... Can't wait to give him the info so he can research it further.

Get on down with your bad self! Ride on! :dumbo:

I am making sure to ride it every time now. I loved it as a kid, so why not?! ;)
