That one was brought up. I missed that one (sounds like a good thing). I really don't think *this* one is as bad as some people seem to think. I saw nothing worthy of reporting. But then again, I don't believe in censorship at all. Let the words stand so you can stand by your words!

Could somone PM me a link to the "feet in the fountain" thread, I never heard of it.

I have sat here and read all 28 pages so far...:surfweb: And all I have to say is, I haven't rode Dumbo in years, but my next visit I will be standing in line. Just gotta make sure I can still do it.:rotfl2: Look out here comes Mama....

My DH will be right behind you. And he'll even let you pick your favorite colored hat on Dumbo (you'll see on the picture I posted a few pages back that he liked the Dumbo wearing the orange hat last year). :cool1:

the mods closed it, but I would love to start another. It was great, maybe if I start another Feet in the Fountain thread" and it is well maintained the MODS will not close it. But I don't want to be labled as :stir: or get in trouble LOL.

in any case what happen was, someone posted a picture of an entire family sitting at the fountain in Fantasy land with all there feet in it, some were washing and other were just soaking..........I'm sure from that vision alone you can get the picture.............it was the most heated thread I have seen

Very important. Were they using soap?

While Disney may read these boards, I cant ever imagine they would take your opinion and actually use it. You wanna know how many people would be peed off because they couldnt ride dumbo because they didnt have a child? It never has been a age restriction and never will be. And if Disney ever changed it to where there was an age limit, they would get a lot of complaints about discrimination. It would be different if an adult could NOT fit in the car safely or there always was an age limit. But to go from Dumbo is a ride for everyone to Dumbo is now just a ride for kids, that wouldnt fly to well with the people who like to ride dumbo without kids. You have to remember. Walt Disney might have been the creator behind the parks, but it us the customers who made Disney popular. If it wasnt for us customers, WDW wouldnt even exisit today. Its like that old saying. Takes a long time to build, but can break in a second. If Disney ever made any of their rides a ride restriciton for adults, they would probably see a loss in sales. Why do you think WDW makes so much more money and get more business then Busch Gardens, Universal, 6 Flags, Cedar Point, etc. Because WDW is geared towards EVERYONE. While the other parks are geared towards everyone but theres only so many rides that adults can do and kids can do. You as an adult cant go to Busch Gardens and ride EVERYTHING. In Disney, you can.

Don't be so sure my opinion doesn't count. Disney reads these boards and even though more people who disagree with me are vocal on this board, don't think I'm the only one who has this opinion.

Also, keep in mind that at Universal there is a really fun looking ride based on Jurassic Park in which you had to have one child and one adult, and they wouldn't let any adults on without children and vice versa. Anything can change. I can picture the throngs of adults waiting by asking to borrow a kid so they can ride Dumbo! LOL!

That's what people are doing.
Thats what I thought too. I guess if you agree with the OP you are expressing opinion, but if you disagree you are just rude and argumentative.
The whole arguement is silly anyway. There is no way Disney will prohibit adults from riding Dumbo.
Now what Disney really needs to do is have a special pass just for Dissers named Lisa ........so we can always go to the front of the line. I'm sure everyone agrees with that...right?....... right? :listen:
<<<< hearing crickets>>>

Wow. 31 pages about adults riding Dumbo, and it hasn't been locked yet. I'm very impressed.

I've never ridden Dumbo, and have no interest in riding it. That being said I couldn't disagree with the OP more.

How about all the parents that force their screaming, terrified little ones on Dumbo just to get a picture of the kid on Dumbo? :sad2: That makes no sense to me. Why take up a place in line if your kid is scared to death to go on a ride?

 What child could be afraid of riding on Dumbo? It's just a dressed up Midway carnival ride that goes around in circles (which is why I have no interest in riding it) :lmao:

Well, the OP was right about one thing.....she/he is getting blasted for their comment.

Seems to me like I paid for an ADULT ticket that doesn't say that I cannot ride kid-specific rides. And...I paid MORE to ride Dumbo than the kids did.

Also - should only the kids thru age 9 be able to ride Dumbo? Because - the kids ticket only goes thru age 9 right? RIGHT???

Uhhhhhh for the experience! Going to character meals and other TS places is part of your experience of Disney. I for one love eating in the castle and do it everytime we go to Disney. Yes it may not be a real castle, but its the closest thing I ever will get to eat in a castle. And the atmosphere is very nice. We always get a table next to one of the windows. And sitting there while waiting for my food watching people ride rides is fun.

Oh, maybe that's why there was an opening -- because there were no characters. We were just, like, "Why do we want to eat at a fake castle?"

Wasn't breakfast the only character meal at CRT back in 2002? I remember having a very nice non-character lunch in the castle. In fact I was heartbroken when they changed over to all character meals because I really enjoyed dining in the castle!

I was also very upset about that. I don't like character meals. I find them annoying but if other adults want to dine w/ Mickey, they should be allowed to do so.
