Gina - I Google'd them, and it looks like they come from Central Asia and the Eastern Meditteranean.

Wherever they came from, I think Agriculture Canada should of had a no "BS", closed door veggie imigration policy for them!

I've never had fava beans Gina, but I've heard they're good with a nice chianti.
