Kidney beans - Mexico
Lettuce - Middle East
Lima beans - Peru
Peanuts - Brazil
Peas - Balkans
Peppers - South America
Potatoes - South America
Radishes - China
Soybeans - India
Spinach - Persia
Squah - Latin America
Turnips - Siberia

Though, I'd like to think that fava beans come from Italy. I wonder if they do.....
 
Why aren't the called NORTHERN EUROPEAN SPROUTS?!?!?!? LOL!!!

Gina - I Google'd them, and it looks like they come from Central Asia and the Eastern Meditteranean.
 
Wherever they came from, I think Agriculture Canada should of had a no "BS", closed door veggie imigration policy for them! :duck: ;)

I've never had fava beans Gina, but I've heard they're good with a nice chianti. :smooth:
 

If they posted a no BS policy, they'd probably get quite a dip in tourism numbers..... :D
