I've tried soy milk a couple of times. I cannot swallow it to save my life! Its just down right icky.
"organic" typically only means grown without chemicals or pesticides, i think.I knew the vegan thing, mainly because I remembered they can't eat jello, but I wasn't sure of vegetarians.
Oh, and I wasn't really necessarily talking about kraft dinner Mac and Cheese, just like Mac and Cheese in general. I've been trying to find a good recipe so I've had cheese on the brain.
And I didn't know that about the soy cheese. I've heard of soy milk and soy granola bars, but never cheese. I find soy to be a bit disappointing actually. Years ago when the SoyJoy bars came out I was so excited to try them because they looked yummy and their ads were promising. They tasted worse than a dried out leather boot. -_-
Alright, and probably another stupid question - are organic foods veggie friendly?
Ah, I see. I had Organic Apple Juice at Panera Bread a few days ago, and it didn't really taste that different to me, tbh."organic" typically only means grown without chemicals or pesticides, i think.

I'll have to try that.special k makes protein water that is super tasty but leaves your mouth dry. so drink it with regular water.
Vegans - Do not use any products made by animal. (Milk, eggs, honey, etc)stupid question, but are you guys allowed to have mac and cheese? i'm assuming no because of the dairy products (milk, cheese)?
No. Organic just means no pesticides.I knew the vegan thing, mainly because I remembered they can't eat jello, but I wasn't sure of vegetarians.

It really doesn't. It's just more expensive.Ah, I see. I had Organic Apple Juice at Panera Bread a few days ago, and it didn't really taste that different to me, tbh.
honey? no honey? really?
Yes, because bees are treated very badly for their honey.honey? no honey? really?
Actually, I was posting on a vegan community and it was one of the things they took very seriously.i think very very few are actually that strict to go that far. personally, i don't consider insects to be animals.![]()

Lol, that was interesting.as an ex vegan, i feel completely obliged to say that most vegans are crazy.i know a whole lot about honey bees (i've won awards for bee conservation) and honey bees that are kept by reputable keepers (i.e. the people you get honey from) are typically treated the exact same way they're treated in the wild.
according to vegans, "horrible treatment" typically consists of over crowding, or uncomfortable situations during harvest. also, i'm assuming the drones that try to sting the harvester are counted in too.
the simple fact is, bees won't product in bad conditions.

i also think not taking milk from cows is mildly abusive. when cows are ready to give milk, just like a woman, they get sore and tender and very uncomfortable until the milk is taken. to suddenly stop taking milk from milk producing cows (what animal rights activs want) would actually cause pain and discomfort to the cows.
i've got a lot of opinions, cause i've been on both sides of this.
Lol, that was interesting.
I guess they think that cows should be left alone, naturally. I don't honestly know what cows did before we started milking them, but I think that's what vegans want. Or for dairy cows to be treated better, I guess? That's what I'd wish for.

I'd suggest the flavored kind, if you didn't try it.
Silk Very Vanilla or Silk Lite Chocolate.
Those are the best, IMO.
Silk Lite Chocolate is love.
Exactly. That's kind of what I was trying to say. I don't think it's so bad that we milk them, it's just the way we do it and the conditions we make them live in.isn't it, though?
and shelby and jenny; i've read that cows are so used to giving milk all the time, now. farmers used to only take it when they were sore, like shelby was saying, but now that we over use cows, they're so used to it, that it's not exactly abusive to take the milk from them. it's more of a relief for them, because they're so used to it. the conditions they live in, though. eh. not so humane.
i'm so tired.
does that make sense?![]()
