Vegas fans - Which shows?

I love all these suggestions!!! DH and I are heading there in a couple months.:D We have "O" booked, but that's about all. We've been a few times, so we are running out of show ideas.;)

TandJ....Prime sounds intersting. I don't recall reading about it. Is it new? We did eat at Le Cirque once and absolutely loved it!!! The only down fall was the tables were so close together. It seemed like we were having dinner with our neighbors. Especially, after a couple glasses of wine. :p

Keep the ideas coming!

mho is that the Danny Gans show is worth every penny...I've never laughed so hard in my entire life....

Emeril's is good too!!!!!

Olives at Bellagio was wonderful too. The restaurant itself looks out over the dancing water show, it's quite spectacular at night.

My absolute favorite though is Emeril's New Orleans Fish House. Excellent food, and the most incredible service I have ever experienced. The team of waiters addressed us by our names the entire time and anticipated our every need. What a treat!

We just got home from Vegas last night. We saw O on Monday night. It was absolutely incredible. Words cannot even begin to describe it. Plan ahead and book early if you want to see this one. Tickets sell out fast. Go to the http://www.bellagio.com website for ticket info.

We saw Danny Gans last year and, honestly, I don't think it was worth the $$. We were completely bored - and we had paid extra for the "Gold Circle" seats (closer to the stage). I'm in my mid 30's and DHis 40. Some of the stuff he did was just too "old" for us.

As for restaurants, don't miss the Bellagio buffet. Its not your typical buffet (I've heard Paris and Aladdin are good, too). We go there every time. Avoid the Carnival Buffet at Rio. Years ago, it was the best buffet in town, but since Harrah's took over, its horrible. Both Mikado and Kokomo's at Mirage are excellent. Believe it or not, one of the best steakhouses in town is The Steakhouse in Circus Circus. The hotel and casino is a real dive, but this restaurant is top notch. Its difficult to get a table during busy weekends, so call ahead.

The pirate show in front of Treasure Island is just ok. We've gone to Vegas more than 10 times in the last 7 years and this week we finally took the time to watch the pirate battle. I guess I'm just spoiled by Disney, because I was not impressed at all. The Bellagio fountains are the best free show in town.

Another vote for the Scintas ( which would be right in your hotel..The Rio ) and I hate to correct SteveH but they are from Buffalo,NY. I know cuz they have been an act here for years and years.
Here is a little blurb about the show :

And I think I saw a buy 1 get on ticket in Vegas last time I was there at the Rio..so check for that if you can. That makes it a great value!

I also say see Mac King at Harrah's (afternoon show) You can get tickets for the show free if you buy a drink ( I think 6.95) It is an hour and a half and we didn't stop laughing the whole time, and I am not even a fan of magic! He was AWESOME!

We also saw Viva Las Vegas at the Statospere for the "free show with drink" coupons and it was a great show for a great price. Dancing, comedy, a little bit of everything. This is also an afternoon show.

I have used this website http://www.billhere.com/ for a couple of trips and it is great. Not only does he send a list of the shows and events of a few months at a time but, you can order all kinds of coupons for shows and attractions from him. I got all my free show coupons here before we got to Vegas. He charges just postage I think. I got a bunch of great deals last trip!

Hope that helped!

Have a great trip!!

The Amazing Jonathon at the Golden Nugget is a riot. Part comedian, part magician, the guy is a load of laughs.

Slip the host or hostess a $20 bill to get a table RIGHT up front.

We also found an excellent Italian restaurant at the Nugget, small place, kinda high class....My lobster was excellent.

We think The Righteous Brothers put on a great show. They sing for over 1 1/2 hours without a break and put their hearts into the show. I see where they are back at The Orleans for a few shows this year.

DW and I are older, but I believe their show would appeal to most ages.
