I don’t think it’s crazy. I think they’re holding off as long as possible to maximize existing sales and to maximize the hype machine.

Hmm....a little over a month ago when I started researching everything, I used the chat feature on the DVC site to ask some questions about VGC and VDH. The guy asked for my contact info and he emailed me with more information. So maybe he's my "guide" then? I'll be curious to see if he contacts me when VDH sales open up.

Are you currently DVC? If so you probably got a promotional email yesterday with the subject “You can still save up to $1,950!”
At the bottom it has your guide listed with their contact info. At least that’s the case for me. If you’re not DVC yet, Welcome Home in advance .

Mine does not have a name. It just has a link to the Online Add-On Tool or a phone number to call. There's also a button to Click to Chat. But no names listed for guides.... I'm resale only.

Yup, will be at least 25 min add on but could also be only 50 or more. Some resorts, pretty sure RIV is one right now, the min addon is 50.

Oh with the chart that VDH is going to have, id bet 50 is min. They dont want people with tiny 25 point contracts that are barely good for one night per year.

Pretty sure i asked recently & either direct or resale can get add-on points, just that financing is minimum of 50, where if you were paying cash you could get 25 minimum. (but that may change for VDH)

Yea new members gotta buy 150 min, current owners min buy is 25 or 50 depending on resort buying.

Resale only owners count as members for add ons too.

Theres a tool on the DVC website where you can add on from as well.

Yea that part about cash vs finance is accurate I think, but VGF and RIV min is 50 right now, even if cash only.

No, DVC will happily sell add-on points at direct prices to resale owners.

LOL I noticed they started that. And I just noticed that mine has her CA license listed as well.

I am direct owner and have no guide name listed. My original guide left last summer. I guess they have not assigned a new one to me yet. I will have one soon though, I will be buying VDH.
