I am pretty upset with the parking. Did they even make a parking garage? Why would they all of a sudden change the parking rule part of the annual dues for this one resort?

VGC has the transient tax as well. It’s just bundled into dues. Works out to roughly $0.50 per point. So dues at VGC would be $0.50 lower if they did it this way instead.

This change is good for people who rent points out.

We have no idea if there’s a parking fee yet. It just says maybe. That could mean a lot of things.

Or if you use the points for other resorts. For owners, paying the tax at checkout is the best solution, you pay it if you use the points at your resort, someone else pays it if you use them somewhere else.
Since I won't own there, I would have preferred it to be bundled in the dues

There will be plenty of points for everyone. There’s a lot of points and most contracts will be for 2-4 nights. Enjoy your cruise or maybe buy on the cruise if there are discounts!

The resale restriction really motivating me and my family/friends to consider direct as Hawaii is common vacation destination, even more for some then WDW.

The points chart doesn’t look good… The spring/early summer trips I would likely use this for are just way more points. I’m guessing this is a good thing. I wont be tempted to buy there

I had a Google ads pop up on a website I was looking at this AM and it was a DVC ad for the Villas at the DH and it did say, add on starting May 3...

Do you drive from Seattle or rent a car? Because if not it might be better not to have parking fees rolled into your dues!

I get what you’re saying, and correct, I fly so for me actually potentially could be a better thing. for some reason prefer for it and transient taxes to all be included. I like to check out with zero on my balance. Maybe if those two things result in the lowest dues in DVC which remain low I might change my mind.
