We are hoping to travel back to Fl. next summer. I wanted to go to NY but because we will get more for our money and be able to take several trips and not just one we are looking south instead. We are only going to do day in Disney where we have spent our whole time in for the last 2 trips. I am looking at Windsor because of the location and my husband likes the idea of a shuttle and he wants to stay in a condo or house. What tips can you give me on renting using VBRO? I know to look at reviews and to look for HomeAway. We will be going out to enjoy other Fl. attractions this trip. Thanks for any and all help.

we've rented and stayed in Windsor Hills. We liked it… having your own private pool is awesome. We plan to rent a house again in December. We have not used the shuttle, though.

Regarding VRBO, we rented through that site serval times without issue. All experiences were as expected or better.

We've stayed in a condo at WH twice and loved it. We had a car though.

Loved Windsor Hills. We used VRBO. I contacted the Windsor Hills Clubhouse manager and made sure that the owner was a member in good standing. I also pulled up the Kissimmee tax page and verified that the name on the property was the name given to me and that the taxes were paid. Other than that, I guess it's a leap of faith.

We had a fantastic time there. The shuttle must be new. I didn't know anything about it.

Agree with most of the other posters. Windsor Hills is a great choice. Having the extra space and amenities while still being so close to Disney is great. Both VRBO and WHHrent.com are reliable. If you are truly paranoid, Minnie's advice on how to check out the tax filings and association dues should give you an additional level of comfort. As a last resort, if you really want security and you use VRBO, you can buy their fraud protection insurance. I too haven't used the shuttle and can't comment on it. We like the control a car gives us.

We have narrowed down to one house and have a quote from the owner for next June. I have looked at homes for 2 days. Great reviews listed from a 3 year history of renters. Like the idea on calling Windsor Hills. Is it not awful that we have to worry about these kind of things.

The last I knew the shuttle was not free not did it run very often. We love WH but always have a car. Have you looked at Wyndham Bonnet Creek?
