I apologize if I missed a discussion on this (I tried a search and found nothing) but I am curious to hear opinions from recent visitors at VB as to what they thought about the new floor.

To me, it looked liked little indented banana shapes throughout. We finally had to ask and were told the designers picked it to make it look like older distressed wood. Hmmm.

I agree with others, they did a great job getting VB up and running.

We were just there, and we thought that the marks on the floor throughout the lobby look like the prints in the sand that a sea turtle would make as it moved.

I'm with you on the banana images Nick - however, now I am going to try to think of sea turtle prints from now on

at any rate, it is still a beautiful building and a nice place to hang out, especially on the oceanside porch
