I am considering planning a stay at VB on a trip to visit family in the vero beach area. I have a 17 month old son....can anyone let me know if you think there would be other families with young children at the resort?
Thanks.

Our youngest DGD was 3 when we were there in June and there were other, younger children as well. There's a ship with a slide and water spray guns. You can watch your little one have a ball with that!

Are there other things to do in the area with little ones outside of the resort?

We were there with out 2 and 3 year old 2 days ago for the first time. WE LOVED iT! The girls could have stayed in the splash boat area all day alone. It is so peacefull and beautiful. There isn't really anything else in walking distance sround there. If youhave a car there is a town a few miles away. Honestly there was so much to do there we wish we had more time. There is mini golf and the pool and splash area as well as a playground right there. Then the beach and there are different activities ever half hour it seems. Most of these are for kids over 4 though. We did see other kids there. I wondered how a resort not at Disney World could be disneyish but it really was.
We are even thinking of going to HHI this summer for a few days because we liked Vero beach so much.

We have 3 DGC, and it was only a 3 night visit, so we never left the resort, and they were very sad to leave, except we were going to WDW which helped ease their pain.

DH and I went to a nature center a few years ago, that is very close to the resort and I think there would be good exhibits for the young child as well as older ones. I think its called The Environmental Learning Center.

Hello. You will have a blast with your kids at VB. We went with 3 kids and loved the beach, mini-golf, ping pong, campfire and many activities offered.

We having been going to VB since it was opened. There are so many activties and area's for the children to play, that you will not want to leave the resort. Enjoy the sun and fun there. JP:wizard:

un birthday parties, arts and crafts, bingo, capture the flag, dodge ball, slide races are a few of the activities. The also show movies in the pool at night time. JP:happytv: :wizard:

Hello everyone. I was just wondering what the better room choice is for an ocean view an inn room or a studio? We booked a studio OV renting points, but after reading the Vero Beach Adoration Thread it seems as if I may have made a mistake...I am getting the impression the Inn rooms are nicer. We are two adults and one child, but do need a refrigerator in the room...do the Inn rooms have them? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

If you rented a room which is designated OV, I'm sure you are in the Inn. You will like it. There is a small refrigerator & microwave in the room.

Yes, studios aren't designated OV, only inn rooms are. But be sure, a studio is the same cost pointwise as OVIR.

I have never stayed in a studio, but I think both the studio and the inn room have refrigerators. The better choice is the Inn room, but any room at VB is great and you will love the resort. Have a great stay.....

We were there Dec 07 and loved it. When we book in Dec we booked at BWV @ WDW. They didn'thave enough days for all of us traveling so we did 4 days there and rented cars (a group of 10) and drove to VB. We did have a grand villa so it was a house on the beach. The kids loved it we rented tents for the beach spent 1/2 the day at the beach and 1/2 at the pool. The nights we did activities. During our pool time pirates walk around dropping plastic coins and the kids would pick them up and trade them in for small toys. They had a blast. What a nice relaxing way to end a vacation. That is why we are going to try HHI this year too. I forgot my DS was 7 and DD was 5, but we had cousin that were 2 yrs and the other was 2 months. There is something for all ages. Enjoy.

We are going in June and I think the main activities for the adults will be
:beach: and:drinking1 and maybe a little:love2:

Can someone please expand on what exactly the "activities" are?

Here is a bunch of VB info. Activities sheets for last year are in the second group. :beach:

DisDayDreamer - thanks for posting those.

We are headed to VB in May with our 3 year old and I noticed on something else it looked like activities were for age 4 and up. Hopefully the tot age group I see on your sheets is still ongoing (3-5).

Much appreciated.

I'm going down to VB 4/4, I'll try to remember to bring back the activity sheet(seems like a lot of people ask about them and I was kicking myself for not bringing it back).

Starr - Would be appreciated if you could bring those sheets back! I'm such a planner and not knowing is bugging me!!!!

DisDayDreamer - our paths might cross then. We will be there from 5/17 to 5/24. If you are in the chair swap we are too - if you see matching chairs on the beach - please stop by and say HI!!!
