I see on the points chart that the Deluxe Inn Room / Ocean View requires the same amount of points as the Studio. Does that mean the Studio is a little larger but none have ocean views? Any other differences?

Yes. You have nailed it. Keep in mind though when you are checking in and are getting an OVIR that you want to ask for an ocean FACING room. It is possible to get a room that faces north or south that has an off-to-the-side view of the ocean. The earlier you check-in the better chances of getting what you want.

We had the OVIR last year and there was nothing like sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. It was beautiful and worth the points. I would much rather have that than the studio. Checking in early does give you a better chance of a better view. We checked in early and they had some rooms available, but I wanted the 4th floor and waiting paid off. It was great.

We also had an OVIR last November and it was fabulous. Definitely worth the points IMHO. In addition to the spectacular view, being able to open the balcony door and listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach made for a truly enjoyable experience.

We stayed in a studio with a "very obstructed" ocean view last December. We asked to look at an Ocean View Inn Room during our stay and it had a fabulous view, that is what we will stay in during our next trip.
