Only in the Designated Smoking Areas.
Speaking of electronic cigarettes, my son's fiance was working tonight at a famous coffee house and had just spent time around someone smoking an electronic cigarette in the break room. She literally stopped breathing and a policeman in the restaurant called the paramedics. Because of this incident, I have been reading up on these cigarettes tonight and am shocked to read of their second hand effects on asthmatics, etc. I had no idea! I certainly would not want anyone just walking around WDW smoking these after what I have read (and experienced with my future DIL) tonight.
My husband just bought one. I am hoping he can use it in the park. Does anyone know? Thank you!

Sadly not. He will need to go and stand with the stinky smokers in the DSAs
A fair question though, because it wasn't made clear on our last trip. I'm not sure how it is in the US, but over here in the UK, a lot of bars will allow people to "smoke" them indoors, and pretty much anywhere outdoors, so the natural assumption would be similar practice in the states (which I dont think is the case).
I suspect it's more of an issue of disney not wanting children to be exposed to the sight of any form of smoking, which is understandable.
The Ontario Gov't is passing legislation to treat them as an other tobacco product.
