Value Resort

We are taking a last minute trip to Orlando leaving Friday after work around 4, it'll be about two hour drive(hopefully!) to get there. Which Value would you suggest we stay at? The AP rates are really good for this last minute trip but I have only stayed at POR and CSR so I don't know what to expect. It will be me,DH, and DD age 9. Saturday, We have reservations at Grand Floridian for breakfast at 9am and then dinner at BOG at 7:00pm if that matters. We will park hop Saturday but are there more for relaxation than anything. I need to book soon so any and all feedback is appreciated.

We usually stay POP when we stay at a value, but I don't know about the relaxation part.

Pop is a super busy resort, so I don't know about relaxation. If you decide to stay there, you should request a quiet lake location view. That should help.

Not sure if any values count as relaxation resorts so pick the theme you like best out of what's available!

I really don't think it matters which value you book.... The All-Stars are basically the same.

Pop - is different if you get a renovated room.

AoA - the LM rooms probably aren't worth the extra cost.

I'd go with the cheapest one since you aren't going to be there very long and the values are known for quiet relaxation.

I really like Pop Century, and you might be able to get a newly renovated room. They look SO nice and feature two queen beds (most value resort rooms have two double beds or one king bed). To increase your chances of getting one, you should call and add it as a request on your reservation. It might be too late, but you could also fax in a request (there will be more info about this on the Pop Century thread). One perk of Pop is that they do not share buses with any other resort (the All-Stars share at certain times). Unlike moderate resorts, there is only one bus stop for the whole resort(not a far walk from anywhere at the resort), and are lines for the bus to each park, so it's not just a "free for all" like at the moderates (where people can and will "cut" people that have been waiting longer). I see this as a MAJOR perk.

Thanks for the feedback. We decided to go with all star sports just because of the fact we will probably only be there to sleep and it was one if the lower priced resorts. I'm not expecting anything fabulous. My DH now wants to go to AK Sunday, so we will be up bright and early for another park day on this overnight trip.
