Valet Parking if not staying at the resort?

Now that we moved to Florida (we are only 1 hour away from WDW), we are thinking of taking a quick day trip on Friday to catch some of the Christmas lights that we missed on our 3-day trip there in early December. Our plan would be to valet park at BWV and visit Epcot and MGM. Is there any problem for DVC members to valet park (one of the DVC perks) if you are not staying at this (or any) resort?

Thanks!

DVC members CAN Valet park at the DVC resorts for free even if not staying at all. DDE members can park for 3 hours free at all resorts with valet for meals. Fl residents and all passholders (including the FL only seasonal pass) have access to DDE. AP and PAP holders can also park at the parks for free, but not a seasonal passholder.

DVC says that members can use the free valet parking even when not staying at the resort.

BUT (and it's a big one), they also say members should not use valet parking at the resorts to visit the theme parks. Valet parking should be used to visit the resort only.

Since you will be staying longer than 3 hrs probably, and visiting the parks and not the resorts,, I would suggest parking at MGM and you can then take the boat to Epcot for your visit there.

We are BCV "owners" I asked the same question recently on this board and then call DVC . Was told that they are cracking down on Epcot resort parking and can not park any longer than 3 hours. They could not even guarantee that I would be able to stay that long with out a ressie either:( Too many people are abusing the parking). Happy to say I got into the BW for a couple of my days...Yeahhhhh. So not an issue for me.

As a CM AND a DVC member, I can't even park there (valet or self park) to visit the resort. I was directed to cast parking last time, even though I showed my member card with my Company ID.
