makeup / skincare / tanning?:
I am very fair skinned, to be PC (aka, I'm really white) and I don't "tan" easily. I go pretty much from white to red. I buy the spray on Sunscreen..SPF 30 I think it is... (I hate the lotions as they feel way greasy and make me break out). I spray it all over my arms, legs, and the back of my neck, then spray it on my hands and do my face and ears. After it dries (in about 30 seconds) I put my regular makeup on. I use Aquasmooth by Covergirl that has an additional SPF 15. Then usually just eyeliner (not liquid as it will usually sweat off or run if it rains or we go on a water ride). Avon glimmersticks are the way to go for waterproof eyeliner. Then I use waterproof mascara.
How do you choose clothing to wear / shoes?
I used to bring sneakers with me but I really hate wearing them. I have switched over to flip flops only. I have my ADIDAS ones (but with the smooth bottom, not those little spikey things) and also a pair of
Crocs Capris and just some regular Old Navy flip flops. I'd start wearing the thong style flops a few months before we go to get my feet used to them...we went last March and I hadn't worn anything like that since the October prior and my toes were torn apart after one day. Also...I make sure to get a pedi before we leave and BRING LOTION!
What are your *essentials* when packing for WDW?
Lotion
Chapstick
Sunglasses
Capri pants or Bermuda shorts. Regular shorts are a no-go with these thighs!

Shirts I have worn before that I know look OK on me. Fitting room mirrors and pictures often tell two different stories. Take pictures in the clothes you plan to bring. If you look good in that picture, you'll good in your vacation pictures.
How do you manage your hair?
Shower in the morning, twist wet hair into a messy bun. Voila. Somehow, wet hair stays put for the entire day. If I'm going to wear a hat, I braid it first then pull the braid through the back.
What are your tips for dealing with the heat?
I avoid Disney like the plague during the summer months. I've been in July and September and they were horrible. I'll stick to late spring or late summer/early fall. Since those months are still pretty warm, drink lots of water and take a break when you need it. Don't force yourself to stay outside just so you can "get to everything." You aren't going to accomplish anything from the hotel room or the ER after you've passed out from heat exhaustion.
How do you deal when "that time of the month" surprises you on your vacation!?
Thankfully, this only happened to me once and I was in Jersey, not Disney! Now I take Seasonale, which only allows you to menstruate for one week every three months. It's the most wonderful pill ever! Oh, and birth control also helps to clear up acne or even just prevent the occasional breakout. Plus there's that whole "not-getting-pregnant" thing!
How do you deal with the men folk / children / even other women!
My boyfriend is a Disney freak like me so he's pretty easy to deal with.
How do you plan for your trip?
First, I pick the month I want to go. Then I check with my job to see what time off is available. After I verify all of that, I put in for the time off, book the trip, then watch the calendars on disneyworld.com and the disboards like a hawk so I know when the park hours are posted. I make a tentative schedule using the park hours for the months leading up to it, then once my months hours are posted, I verify and plan out my ADRs and any other special events. Once I'm 90 days out (which used to be 180) I call and make my ressies then wait not so patiently for my DME stuff to arrive!
How do you save money on your vacation?
We tried the dining plan once and then on the next trip, we went without it. We found that it didn't really save us all that much money so this time we are going to put about $300 on a Disney Gift Card and use that to pay for meals. That way we still have our food paid for in advance, in a way, plus we are limited on how much we can spend which prevents me from eating every ice cream sandwich I come across. Also, we buy a couple of bottles of water when we get to our first park, then refill them and stick them in the fridge overnight. If we stay at a value, it's more worth it to just rent the fridge for the week than to keep buying water bottles at $2.50 a bottle. It's $10 a day to rent the fridge...I know that between the two of us, we buy more than 5 bottles a water a day.
what are your strategies for the parks / what rides / shows / parades?
We always try to do/see everything at least once. If we have never done something we try to make it a priority for the next trip. If we don't like it, we know we don't have to do it again. For example: Test Track. We've done it, it's fun...but it's to the point where it's a tad boring so we skip it. Soarin', however, gets done at least twice. Same thing with food. We don't listen to reviews because everyone has their own opinions. If we try it and we don't like it, we don't have to go back. But anything is better than eating pizza and chicken fingers every day, which is what we used to do before we became privy to ADRs. As far as parades go...we defintely watch the AK parade once because that's my favorite. For our upcoming trip, we have the Block Party Bash on the list because we've never seen it before. We will probably watch Spectro once but if we don't get to it, we don't get to it. I've found that ride q's and restaurants are less crowded when there's a parade going on.
your strategies for the bus lines and transportation? We always use the Disney buses, so we know that there is a possibility that we will arrive at the bus stop just as our bus is pulling away and it will be another 20 minutes (at least) before another one comes by. Since I'm aware of that fact, it just doesn't bother me. I can't stand it when people complain that they were waiting 10 minutes for a bus. It's posted all over the place, and mentioned on practically every bus ride, that there is a wait time of approximately 20 minutes between buses. I just plan to be at the bus stop for 30 minutes and then plan on a 15 minute ride to my destination. Yeah, it's 45 minutes... but I already know that I'm not going to do everything so I don't sweat it. I'm on vacation afterall...if I HAD to be somewhere at a specific time, then it would be called work!
what resorts do you choose and why?
I really want to stay AKL but we currently don't have that kind of money. We spend all day, every day, in the parks. We don't do a "resort day," we don't take afternoon nap/swim breaks. So we literally use the resort for showering and sleeping. I think of the 7 times I have been to WDW, I have actually used the resort pool twice. So for now, we can't justify spending that much money on a resort that we will spend less than 1/4 of our trip in. We have stayed at POFQ and CSR (which was my favorite so far) but we have also stayed at the Movies and we are staying at POP on our next trip. I chose POP over the All Stars because the All Stars share a bus and are always over crowded. That is also one of the reasons I like CSR more than FQ...FQ shares a bus with Riverside and they were always crowded. CSR has it's own bus, as does POP.
