V & Me 3rd Times a Charm! August PTR

Day 2
magic Kingdom

This will be our longest and busiest day I think. I don't know if we are going to take. Break this day or not.

v has an 8:30 appointment at the bibbidi bobbidi boutique. She has picked tiana, so I guess we'll have to see if she changes her mind or not.

After that we will do the pictures. I'm OT sure if we will d enchanted tales with belle. Is this a Fp one? I can't remember. I kinda think I would rather she not do enchanted tales with belle in a tiana dress idk maybe I'm just finicky.

We will visit the princesses and do other things like that. We will probably have to re visit some of the princesses on another day.

We will see the parades and dream along with Mickey and probably do some rides in fantasyland.

We have dinner at Cinderellas castle At 425. This s always a fave of v's. and then we will probably just do some more rides or see some characters.

I'm excited for our Dismeet that night! We are doing the dessert party ad will get a chance to me Suzi, her son braden and he niece. and the famous D and her girls Alli And V! My V is very excited to meet the other V. I have yet to deide what I'm doing but hoping I have time o whip something up for everyone w're meeting.

I am still here! The children want to do Hoop De Do, it looks like fun. For us that would be a lot of food so close together...I would think the earlier you could eat the better. Either way, both experiences sound fun! I loved the castle BBB! So much fun!

Okay Day 1

Tuesday August 20

We will arrive in Florida a couple days before and stay at my bosses house. The ,orning of the 20h I am hoping that we can leave as early as possible and do the 1.5 hour drive to Disney so that we can arrive at the Poly in plenty of time to either check in early for our 10:55 am reservation for 4 at Ohana or explore the poly a bit. I would really like some time to explore the poly, but v's parents have decided they want to go to Kennedy space centre to see the exhibit there. They will want to get going as quickly as possible which will put a kink in my plans a bit.
The other option is that we get there early enough to check into POR before breakfast. I would be hopeful we could do that, so that v's parents can leave the poly after breakfast when they want and w can explore a bit before heading back to POR for a swim.

Even so I'm not really sure how much time we will have in the afternoon atPOR. If breakfast starts late because they are seating late, then by the time W get to POR we might not have a lot of time to swim. We need to e at Fort Wildernessfor Hoop Dee Doo show at 4pm. Not a lot time between meals but I thought the 615 hoop dee doo would be too late as I really want v in bed at a reasonable time that night. By 8!

I'm not. Sure about 2meals that close together so part of mthinks arriving a the poly ASAP and checking in for breakfast as soon as Possible so hopefully w get seated earlier rather than later may be best to try and get as much time between the 2 meals as possible.

Im not sure what to do any suggestions?

v is super excited about Hoop Dee Doo. She lovedit last year. When I gave he the choice of oop dee doo or the water park. She picked hoop dee doo!

Yay!

You know I've been struggling with this exact same dillema... On the 21st, we have LTT at 11:30 and then CRT at 4:10... I've been trying to get a bit later ADR at CRT for months, with out any luck (but I haven't been quite as diligent lately)... But then, I think about the times and put them back on our "home time" - Normally, we eat lunch at 12:30 and Dinner between 5 & 5:30... So, we will actually be eating right on schedule. We won't even talk about the fact that we are doing the dessert party this night too... :faint:

So, I think the earliest you can check into Ohana the better... Maybe try not to eat so much??? I know, I know... Impossible... LOL

I totally agree with getting V into bed early on your first night... I will be doing the same thing with my V (and Alli too)...

Sounds like a busy day for your first day. I want to do Hoop di doo one day.

Hoop dee doo s so fun! It s a lot the frs day, but only day hoop dee doo fit into our schedule nicely.

You are gone by the time we get there right?

I am still here! The children want to do Hoop De Do, it looks like fun. For us that would be a lot of food so close together...I would think the earlier you could eat the better. Either way, both experiences sound fun! I loved the castle BBB! So much fun!

You're right it is expensive for hoop dee doo. You can use a table service credit, but I opt to pay a bit extra for the better seating since it isn't much more than using the table credits. I believe it uses 2 credits.

It is so much fun tho.

Some outfit Previews!

Here are a couple pics of V's customs that are DONE.

A dress for Hoop Dee Doo! the dress ended up being too short (despite following the pattern) so we added a ruffle to the bottom. The blue doesn't match exactly but it works.
I'm going back and forth on adding an applique to this one, I'm not really sure. It's pretty "busy".
My mom made this one on her own. I've been so busy I haven't been able to devote the time that I need to.

This is a Belle inspired dress. My mom made this one too, all on her own. It was a pain she says. The sleeves didn't turn out right, I'm not really sure why, but we are having to modify a bit and make it 1 strap since the upper arm strap is too tight. I keep wondering if this one needs "something" The fabric is a yellow damask. I wasn't sure about it but it turned out really pretty. It looked weird until we put a hoop skirt under it.

This is V's classic Minnie dress. It should be for our MK day. My mom made this one mostly, but I did the applique. The applique took HOURS! It was a 5x7 applique that Loree sized down to a 4x4 for me since it was too big and it was hard to do. some parts were so tiny and the material frayed a lot.

Last one is V's Drizella dress. Janet made this one for V and its perfect. It is for dinner at Park Fare. V is so excited. She gasped when she saw it!

This is adorable! Like I said on FB though - if you are planning to add anything at all, I would do a plain blue Mickey head the same color as the bottom ruffle... And maybe - if you can find a plain Mickey Head with a cowboy hat on it (Does HS have one?), that would be adorable, but I would not do anything more than that - if you do anything at all. I love, love, love this dress!

This is beautiful... I agree - it would definately need a hoop skirt.

As far as what it needs... the red flowers where the skirt is picked up... Either that - or you could applique the rose under the glass dome either on the bodice, or near the bottom hem.

I love everything about this dress!!! But you know me - I love dots and I love classic Disney fab 5 stuff! This will be perfect for her MK day!

This is gorgeous!!! Drizella will love it - is she bringing her AG to PF again? IF so - that would be awesome!

LOVE EVERYTHING

I would leave the hoop de doo dress alone. I love it. Maybe get a pair of country inspired mickey ears to tie it together.

For the Belle I think it needs the red flowers. I wouldn't do an applique.

Hey there, hi there, ho there,

I'm afraid I've been sneaking a peek at your ptr, I do hope you don't mind...it is just way to exciting ----no better way to reminisce over old trips or get excited over new ones than to read other peoples PTR'S AND TR's. anyway i couldn't help but give a little squeel of delight when i saw the dresses... actually i want a hoop dee doo dress in adult size! and the drizella dress is AMAZING!! infact i have drizella as my character on my name badge at work (i work at the disney store...its not just me putting a random name on my badge;) ) actually they all look amazing... and i totes agree that a few red roses would tottaly set off the Belle gown!

Any way i hope you don't mind my butting in. I look forward to reading more!!:thumbsup2

Erin! You guys have been busy! I think the Hoop Dee Doo dress is just perfect the way it is. The Belle dress is gorgeous! I agree with others that just adding some roses will really make it pop. The Minnie dress is really cute! I was worried some of those smaller areas would be difficult to applique when I downsized it. Sorry it gave you problems but the dress looks super. And the Drizella dress is wonderful! I can understand why V gasped when she saw it.

Hey Erin!

Thanks so much for the heads up. She looks awesome as Drizella! :cool1: I can't wait to hear about your trip to 1900 Park Fare!

I love the other outfits too. You guys are in for SO much fun! :dance3:

And I like the HDD outfit just as it is. And I think the blue ruffle was the perfect accent. I always like a touch of solid with a mix of prints. It's just lovely as it is. :goodvibes

And I can't believe how TALL she has gotten!

Hi Loree thanks again for doing it! I actually have decided that it is my new fiskars scissors that were creating the problem.

Thanks again Janet. I hope our dinner is great. V just had the hugest intake of Breath when she saw the dress. I have never seen her so excited over something, I nearly cried!

Omg she's tall. Barely 6 years old and she's 50 inches! I took her to our local amusement park a couple weeks ago and she rode all the upside coasters. At 6! She is totally fearless

Day 3 animal kingdom

This will be our third day and our 2nd park day.
We will be up bright and early. (not sure how that's gong to go after wishes the night before and I will have to shower v to get all the gel and hairspray out of her hair that morning) in time to get to animal kingdom for our 815 ressie at Tusker House.

I want to get there as early as possible but we need to be at the bus stop for 7 or preferably 6:45 and I just don't know how it's going to work with v waking up so early.

We won't be breaking this day but we will take it easy.

After breakfast we will grab fast passes for expedition Everest or just head straight to kilimanjaros safari. After kilimanjaros we will go to expedition Everest and we may even grab fast passed for Kali if we can, or if the line isn't long we will just ride right away. Now I always wear a poncho on this ride. I HATE getting wet on rides. We may also leave this ride to be later in the afternoon as I will have a change of clothes or do it right before we leave.

At some point we will check the times for nemo, but I doubt we will get it in in the morning. I plan to be at camp Minnie Mickey as early as we can and hopefully we can get through the characters with minimal wait. We will also see festival of the lion king.
We may have to head back to use fast passes or we will just keep moving. It will all just depend on the times.

Flights of wonder is another show to get in. We haven't seen it before and I think v will like it. That along with nemo and FOTLK will jus depend on times

We will probably do dinoland next or eat lunch. I really want to give v some time to play in the boneyard and do the fossil thing. She hasn't done the fossils before and I've always given her like a 15-20 min in the playground just because there is so much we want to do. She wants to do triceratops spin of course and I believe she is tall enough this year for primeval whirl. We will skip all that carnival stuff, no need to spend EVEN MORE money.

If we haven't done so already we will have lunch. We did flam tree BBQ last year and v was not a fan. I would have to check the menu and order her something different next time, but she does like ribs so that would be a seller. I enjoyed my lunch last year but I think it was so hot and I just wasn't hungry. We ate at restaurantaaaurus our first year and it was good. I just had a cheese burger but no complaints, I LOVE the toppings bar! V had chicken nuggets. Yak and yeti I am curious. I will look at their menu more closely and see as I hear it's good. I hear a lot of people raving about Disney pizza which leads us to pizzafari. I've never had disneypizza so maybe this is a possibility. Have no idea. Maybe we will just pick whatever is closest when the time is right. Any restaurant recommendations?

We will likely head to rafiki's planet watch assuming we have seen nemo and FOTLK. W will take the train up and meet characters, explore the conservation station. This whole section issomething we have hardly looked at in The past so depending on time, I'm hoping we can spend a good chunk of time in this section of the park.

Somethings that I hope we can fit in depending on where we are in the park and time are the trails. We've never done any of them. Discovery island trails, oasis exhibits, pangani forest trail, maharajah jungle trek. We haven't done any of them.

Must do for me is to try a jalapeño pretzel. Any other recommendations?

I doubt we will get everything done. We never do! The park closes at 6 and we have a 510 reservation at Boma. I expect we will have to be heading out of the park no later than 430. Boma is the only reservation I have booked for me. I wanted to try something new and different and it gets such good reviews.

We are so very much over in dining credits, yet can't seem to cut anything. V wants to cut Boma and I said NO WAY! I don't want to cut anything either, so I may just end up paying OOP for 2 meals, despite already paying OOP for O'hana for 4 and Hoop Dee Doo.

Day 4 Hollywood studios

We will hopefully have been to bed decently early the night before so getting v up in time for an 805 reservation at Hollywood and Vine shouldn't be too problematic. After breakfast we will do the toy story Fp run. If the line isnt long (ya right) we will ride t. I'm not sure if we should go to rock roller coaster or if we should meet buzz and woody. They are must dos so I'm thinking we should and just get a Fp for rnr later. V will want to meet the characters at the hat and they aren't out for too long and they change so we will head there as soon as possible, we missed several last year.

We will probably head to the animation courtyard next and meet characters, get a Fp for voyage of the little mermaid I'd needed and see the Disney junior stage show.

I don't want to miss Walt Disney One Mans Dream so I expect we will do this next but must consult my map to see if it is out if the way.

It will probably be time for lunch if we haven't done so already. I have no idea where or even if we will will eat since we will have had breakfast and we do have dinner reservations. I need to look up some counter service reviews. Any recommendations?

Depending on time we may head over to sunset blvd for the beauty and the beast stage show, or do rnr or tower of terror.
Sidenote on TOT last year, v did NOT like it. I loved it. V has promised me that she will ride it again for me and she will jus close her eyes, I really hope she holds up!

It may then be time to head over go Hollywood blvd. v would love watching the idol show so I am hoping we have time for this. We will also do star tours and the great movie ride. Can you believe we have not seen the great movie ride before? Well I did when I was 6.

Finally it will be on the exploring streets of America. Muppetvision will be under refurb so we will miss that. I want to do the studio backlot tour. I hope v likes it. I also want to give v lots of time to play in the honey I shrunk the kids playground. She had about 5 min last year.

At some point we will hopefully see cars characters as well as Phineas and ferb (not that v knows who they Are) and I am hoping that we will get to do character paloozava but I am doubtful hopefully it is at 5, but if it is at 6 which it seems like it is now, we won't due to our 615 reservation at 50's primetime. I am really hoping we have a better experience At 50's this year.

After dinner we will finish up whatever we need to. And head back to POR. V doesn't want to do Fantasmic, she didn't like it last year. She was scared and I'm not bothered to miss it. I think we won't break in the afternoon this day. We will just take things slow and push through and hopefully get done everything that we Want to get done.

After we get back to POR depending on the time and what is going on, we may do something, or just head straight to the pool for a night swim. I always let V swim at night late one night of the trip and she just loves it!

then it will be off to bed and hopefully sleeping in!

Welcome and thanks for reading along! I don't know about exciting lol I'm pretty dull, but thank you so much for your comments! I think I am in agreement about the red flowers, just not sure where to put them.

Wow - big updates for me to catch up on this morning. :thumbsup2

Since we will be in this park on the same day (if my calculations are correct), we will probably pass eachother several times... We do not have an early morning ADR at TH like I'd originally wanted - I knew we were having a LONG day the day before - and if I wanted any hope of my V's cooperation - an early ADR wasn't the way to get it. LOL So, we have the last breakfast ADR at TH this morning.

Listening to you talk about your day... AK is a 2 day park for us on all of our trips, and we have yet to get back to the Conservation Station, and we have only done a few of the trails... I also want to make it a point to see Nemo - I've heard great things about it, but we have yet to do it.

The only snack we ever have is the Jalepeno pretzel... Nothing else compares - so we need our fix while we can get it. LOL

We plan to do Sunshine Seasons for lunch - we ate there last year, and it was a nice light and refreshing meal... Not only that, but the have Napoleons available - which you can only get here and in France in Epcot. ::yes:: But they are only open for a few hours at lunch time, so if you aren't hungry at that time, it's kind of a bummer. We did rearrange our ADRs this day, so that we could eat here for lunch - it's a CS worth looking forward to.

Again - with all of our times at DHS - we have yet to do the Backlot Tour, so this is something I would like to try this trip.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your plans! :thumbsup2

Oh D, I forgot we would be seeing you at AK too!
I know, we usually get most of the main stuff done so we shall see where we end up this year. You can never do it all.

Wow, I love how you have your days planned out. I am no help because I have no good ideas for counter service at HS or AK. We have done Pizza Safari but mostly because it had A/C. The one year we did Yak & Yeti and were not impressed, tasted like the food you get at the food court in the mall.

HS will be fun. I do think the line for Buzz and Woody gets long because everyone can see them while they are waiting for TSM. You can also see Buzz at MK (by his ride) and usually Woody and Jessie together in Frontierland. But I think HS is the only place to see Buzz and Woody together (and of course that neat backdrop).

Are you wearing an Anastasia inspired outfit to 1900 Park Fare? It would be so cute!! Maybe just something pink with a similar bow?

You guys are going to have so much fun!!!!
