V & Me 3rd Times a Charm! August PTR

Wow, I love how you have your days planned out. I am no help because I have no good ideas for counter service at HS or AK. We have done Pizza Safari but mostly because it had A/C. The one year we did Yak & Yeti and were not impressed, tasted like the food you get at the food court in the mall.

HS will be fun. I do think the line for Buzz and Woody gets long because everyone can see them while they are waiting for TSM. You can also see Buzz at MK (by his ride) and usually Woody and Jessie together in Frontierland. But I think HS is the only place to see Buzz and Woody together (and of course that neat backdrop).

Are you wearing an Anastasia inspired outfit to 1900 Park Fare? It would be so cute!! Maybe just something pink with a similar bow?

You guys are going to have so much fun!!!!

Hi Liz (It is Liz right??????) :headache:
Hmmm good to know about Yak and Yeti, honestly I don't even know what kind of food it is, I was really debating that versus a burger. It would be easier with V at Restaurantasaurus but burgers get old! They did on the first trip because we at more counter service than sit downs, but last year, I honestly don't think I had a burger once! We've never seen Jessie and Woody or Buzz at MK hopefully this year!

I don't know what I'm wearing to Park Fare, probably won't have time to make anything :(

2 more customs done

I did the appliques, but my mom pieced and sewed together.
The first is V's Disney Treat Dress and the second is a Drizella cutie shirt and inspired skirt set to be worn at magic Kingdom (probably for an hour at the most -overkill I know!)

Ok so here is a question:

On our second MK Day we are going to get up at the crack of dawn and go over super duper early to MK to try and get picked for family of the day. If we don't we'll just head over to the contemporary or ride the monorail to waste time. V wants to try for family of the day again, she thinks it's cool. I'm skeptical. This will only work assuming we have an earlier night which we should the night before.

I can't decide what V should wear.... should it be her classic dress or her Treat Dress?

Part of me thinks classic, because well..... but then I think the treat is cute and not as "in your face" We are doing the family magic tour that day and I think either would be fine for her to run around in.

thoughts?

I love, love, love the treats dress!!! I think it's one of my all time favorites! And I hope, hope, hope little V will wear it for the Dessert Party - it will be PERFECT for that!!! And I know for a fact, my V will just love that dress!

The Drizella outfit is adorable too - I just love the colors!

Personally - I would put her in the classic one in the morning, and have her change out later into the sweet on Disney one.

And, if you get picked for family of the day - you better text me - we will be there most of the day, and we would LOVE to wave at you during the parade!

Ahh I don't think you're there that day. It is the 25th. family of the day doesn't get to ride in the parade unfortunately.

Sorry - thought you were talking about the 21st. I thought the family of the day got to ride in the parade? Who gets to ride in the parade then?

Hi, no family of the day opens the park in the morning durin the opening show. The family to ride in th pared usually just gets picked randomly or is pre arranged.

Love all of her outfits!! You are an awesome seamstress (& your mom too)! If it were me, I'd put her in the classic dress for family of the day. It'd just be too cute up there with all the characters & townspeople.

LOve love love the treat dress.

I would go with the classic dress. I love those colors though.

I hope you get chosen.

yet again in total awe of you and your mom's skills!!! love the treat dress but love the Drizella outfit soooooooooooo much....I want it!!! V is so lucky to have you as a nanny!!!

as for family day..... i couldn't choose they are both sooooooooo cute!

Dress for the dessert Party

I love all the new dresses Erin! YOu did a fantastic job... I love the colors on the Dessert Party dress - they just pop!!! Cannot wait to see them in person.

man the back of the wishes dress looks awful! We have to redo the bodice when we get back, had some major issues with it.

Can't wait to see it with the Princess Pie stuff, but I'm getting nervous! we arrive at Disney in just over a week and jenny hasn't invoiced me or to my knowledge made them yet, IDK. I know it will get done in time, but nervous!

So, V's mom called me tonight and we may now be adding another night to the beginning of our trip. V's dad has to fly home on business on the 20th so he may take us up on the 19th now which is totally screwing with my reservations and such.
sigh

I commented on the dresses on the Disboutique thread but had to say again that they look great. How did I miss JC on the Wishes dress? He looks cute. I think the back of the bodice looks fine. Sorry it gave you guys issues.

Sorry this is causing a hiccup but an extra day in Disney sounds good to me. Don't feel you need to make the most of the day, maybe it will be a great chance to hang out at the pool and get geared up for the trip.

Erin - In case I don't get back over here before you leave for your trip I wanted to say I hope you have a great time on your adventure. I know you will create lots of memories with V. princess:

I know you leave earlier than I do for Florida... But I am not exactly sure when... I just wanted to say - safe travels to all of you and we will see you in a few days!!! WHOOT!

D~

Hey everyone, thanks for all the comments on the dresses we are back! we are a little slow moving, getting back into the swing of things but I will be starting a TR eventually. just have to getpics uploaded and photopass done. I hate starting a TR without photopass, but we have so few photopass photos i'm sure :(

Our trip was good, but different and exhausting. I learned some lessons!
