anyone read any of her books? i recently got literly about 10 books of hers from good will there very addicting and good anyone else addicted to her books?

I used to all the time. I haven't read one in forever though. enjoy

ive read 3 of them and they are very addicting...i also like to read mary higgins clark...its almost the same style of writing...mystery books are my favorite....

I enjoyed Flowers in the Attic. I read the 2 books that followed in the series but I didn't like them as much. As the series went on the stories got too weird and even warped for me. I'm ok with a bit of gore and suspence but I had trouble with the weird sex/incest parts. I also found it all a bit far-fetched.

I haven't read any of the other books though. Post what you think of them. I'm always looking for good reading!

I've read quite a few of them, and yes, they're pretty good. But I have a problem with her incest obsession. I know the original V.C. Andrews has been dead for several years and a ghost writer has been writing the books - and obviously sticking with V.C.'s theory that every one needs to include some brother/sister love.

a few of the series with of course ; Flowers in the attic, but V. C. Andrews has been dead for several years now, but whoever is the ghost writer seems to be basically recycling her work.

The incest themes are disturbing.

V.C. Andrews has been dead since I was in high school (the late 80's). Her original works were really good. However, the ghostwriter has essentially been writing the same plt lines over and over again.

The best book she wrote was the single book...can't think of the name of it for the life of me. My Sweet Audrina (maybe).

I loved the first 2 books she wrote and My Sweet Audrina, but then she died and the ghost writer just writes the same thing over and over again. What's the point?

I stopped reading them after the Ruby series. They just did not interest me any more.

I really liked the Heaven series and the Dawn series. :)

Make sure you read the backs of the books before deciding which to read first...most are parts of a series. And getting the order mixed up is confusing as all get-out.

I read many of them as a teenager in the 80's. I loved the Heaven series the most. I stopped reading them after the 2nd or 3rd in the Heaven series (can't remember which) after finding too many mistakes by the ghostwriter who had tried to finish the series. The most obvious was the naming of the house, which didn't match the one used in the original Heaven. It was frustrating and made the reading not as enjoyable. I always thought the incest angle was a little weird, too. Made me wonder a little about Ms. Andrews......

Used to read them all the time :D . My favorite was probably My Sweet Audrina also. Liked Dawn series too.

that one was my favorite too..i loved my sweet audrina!

my mom was addicted to the books when i was in high school. it was always a running joke about locking us up in the attic...

the other series i liked was Heaven...

I admit I used to read them in the 80's also. The Flowers in the Attic series started it all and I did read a few of her series, but I too, stopped reading a bit after she died. The books stopped being enjoyable to me and I haven't read one since the early 90's I would imagine.

I think I own all but 4 of her books. I went through a period where that's all I would read! Now I'm helplessly addicted to Nora Roberts (I just finished "Three Fates" which was AWESOME!!) and Mary Higgens Clark... but there's always room in my heart for V.C. ;) My favorite was Ruby (I THINK!) if that was the one in the bayou. They do get repetitive after a while, but read them cause they're still good. :)

yes the insest thing is veryy odd and i heard from a relative that her daughter is the ghost writer but i dont know about that

I have read every book by VC Andrews...when I was in High School, she was my favorite author...:) I still read her books today, but not as much as before...My absolute favorite storyline was the Heaven Series...I just loved that one! :) I also liked Dawn as well...that was a good one too! :)
