UY Question for January and September Trip

Hi.

If I use points for a January 2019 trip from a September 2019 UY and then decide to release dates, where do the points return and when would they need to be used by?

Also, if I booked a September 2019 trip, could I borrow from September 2020 UY?

So you would borrow points from your 2019 UY, those points will become and stay 2018 UY points. As long as you cancel before the 30 day mark, they will be normal 2018 points, but NOT bankable and need to be used by Aug 31, 2019. If cancelled within the 30 day window, they will be in HOLDING in the 2018 UY.

Thank you. That is what I thought. I would want to use in September 2019 so wont just hold random days I see while stalking the RAT for my January trip.

But, for September 2019 trip, is it correct I can borrow from September 2020 UY if I need a few points?
