UT ticket problems?! Update: Problem Resolved!

This is an interesting thread. I know UT is a well-respected company, and some complaints here are really just unreasonable impatience or failure to plan ahead. The price discount isn't for nothing, there is a trade-off in terms of "ease of use" if not buying from Disney but thousands on this board have found that trade-off worth it. UT delivers every time, and are trusted to make things right.

That said, if we assume that OP and UT agree the tickets are lost in the mail, I do not understand a policy of waiting until the 61st day out to reveal the ticket numbers. There are other reasons for buying early from UT than saving money, such as having linked ticket numbers to practice with the FP+ system before having to do it for real under time pressure. Somebody buying from UT three months before the 60-day window is entitled to receive them promptly for that reason or any other reason, whether the rest of the world thinks it is important or not.

If UT had a good reason for holding back the ticket numbers, that would be one thing. I could understand refusing to cancel and issue new tickets (that is, UT eat the cost of the missing tickets) without giving our lovely postal service a few more weeks to find and deliver the package. But not giving the numbers?

I'm hoping this was just a miscommunication between OP and the person at UT, and that they can get it resolved quickly. But if that is an official policy (not giving ticket numbers on lost packages until 61 days before trip) then UT should reconsider that policy.
 
I ordered from them and it said would recieve my tickets by feb 24. I recieved them Friday. I was surprised. I was worried having paid all that money for tickets . I hope yours show up soon or you get a resolution you are looking. for.

I don't think we can assume any such thing, even if the OP still hadn't gotten her tickets (which she has). It doesn't appear UCT ever thought the tickets were lost, just that they do have a procedure in place for lost tickets.
 

I did receive my tickets, so there is no longer an issue. I spoke to only one person at UT and that person did say to called back at day 61 to receive the ticket numbers. THAT was the issue I was having. I was very uncomfortable spending $2,000 and not having anything to show for it. Hoping I would receive the ticket numbers at day 61 was not acceptable to me.
In the end, it all worked out as I received the tickets and the order was perfect. I linked them to MDX without a problem.
 
We are in the same boat. Exact same dates and had our hopes up for today. No luck. I don't think we can call for out nymbers today because it looks like the office is only open Mon-Fri. Now, we have to wait until Tuesday. Our 30 day window was today
You should have ordered them sooner if you wanted them by today. Their FAQ's say regular shipping takes 10 business days.

I know I'd be upset too, but they are reputable. I've used them many times and they have always been reliable. I'd talk to them, explain your apprehension and then ask them for some options which will satisfy you.

Thanks, but the FP thing isn't that big of a deal. I would have liked to do it at the 30 day mark, but I can wait. I'll just be happy when they arrive and I know they are not lost with USPS.
 
Ordered several times from UT and no problems. Just recently ordered Feb 7. Sent Feb 11 and received Feb 14. People should not trust the usps tracking it is more trouble than its worth. Some post offices need to scan a parcel delivered even if it isn't to "stop the clock" as it's called. It is all for bookkeeping. They try to keep up with Fedex and UPS and the tracking is just not the same.

Ordered my tickets on the 16th and chose the expedited FedEx shipping as I don't trust the USPS. Tickets arrived on the 16th.

We got them! I was surprised at 21 days we landed most of our FPs at decent times.
