USPS Tracking

We have 2 items ordered December 5th and 6th from Bed, Bath and Beyond that haven't arrived.

Anyone else?

One, ordered instore, finally showed up as a credit card charge Tuesday. The other, ordered on line, still nothing.

They also have their own delivery fleet. I’ve seen a local mall turned into an Amazon logistics center. Not just Amazon trucks but lots of leased trucks from Budget.

Even then, some Amazon items come from specific warehouses.

No delivery fleet here either. They are 90% delivered by USPS, and the other 10% come UPS

USPS is still holding on to three packages I mailed. And also a card that required extra postage as it had gift cards inside. Hopefully they will arrive some day soon.

I mailed my son two packages last Saturday. They were both scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. The box arrived on Monday. The padded envelope hasn't gone anywhere yet. No tracking noted online for it.

I live in a major metro area, so it's almost always Amazon that does the final delivery. Years ago it might have been one of the regional delivery companies.

Occasionally I'll get an Amazon delivery where the "last miles" are via USPS. It's a bit odd where those come from.

Had our own "jelly of the month club" moment today. USPS showed up this afternoon with my parents gift! That was a nice Christmas surprise.

Now my nieces package sat at the Fed Ex sorting sorting site for the past 3 days and never moved. The sorting site is less than 5 miles from where it is going. Funny thing is that we sent another package via Fed Ex at the same time. That package was going to another house about 3 miles from the other house. That package was delivered 4 days ago.

I had fresh fish for sashimi delivered for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. It was supposed to arrive Wednesday, but the fish company looked like they were a day late shipping it. Then yesterday, UPS said it was delayed and would be delivered Monday!!! I can't even imagine--that would be one stinky package by then. The fish company was able to contact UPS and expedite it, so we had some awesome sushi last night.

How was it packaged? Just cold packs or was it dry ice?

Just cold packs. The fish wouldn't have been edible by Monday, I'm sure. I did get some meat delivered a while ago (that we also ate today) that came with unmarked dry ice. Let me tell you--that stuff burns if you try to pick it up. I reached into a bag expecting a cold pack, and was so surprised to grab dry ice, lol.

The tracking info may not be that accurate. They rely on someone or equipment to scan the code. I’ve seen tracking steps that must have skipped a ton of places where it could have been scanned but apparently wasn’t.
I actually placed a "where is my package" inquiry and had someone from the Wisc post office call and tell me that my package was still in route and probably won't be there for 10-12 days after the holidays..

Great..

Never using the USPS again.

where did you find that inquiry page/link? I can't find anything like it. I have 2 pkgs missing still. 1 coming to me from WI sent Dec 8, shows nothing for tracking since Dec 12 when it says it left MI..and 1 a pkg I sent to FL priority mail, on Dec 9, nothing in tracking since 12/16. I called the local PO Wednesday, and she said it has stopped at 3 places since it left here, but she can't tell me where..and noone can seem to tell me where it is now, or when it will be delivered. :(

I searched boxes in the basement to find about 15 odd Legos pieces that my son wanted. Packed them up with his Christmas gift and mailed them Dec 9 from New York to California. They still haven't arrived :(

Im not sure if this webpage will work but here is what I used...

https://emailus.usps.com/s/

and you basically fill out a form, and it seemed like it was forwarded to the receiving post office who was who reached out to me.

It appears when I selected the shipping "speed" for my package I was sold on a lie - I selected what I now realize was "retail ground" which is sorted AFFTER all first class mail is sorted and when I dropped it off on December 4th I was told it would be there by Dec 11th - and after hearing back from the Wisc post office he said it wont be delivered for 10-12 days after the holidays are over. Which means we'll be at 5 weeks for a package to get from NC to Wisc..

ugh..

Thank you for that link..I never saw that under tracking before. I just filled one out for the missing FL package..maybe someone will get back to me soon!

I mailed a package December 12. Showed it left CA on the 16th and then was noted as "in transit, arriving late". Finally on the 23rd it arrived in the correct area and was delivered the 24th. Ironically, I mailed 3 other packages after that date, even two during Christmas week, which were delivered in 2-3 days.
I was just grateful it arrived before Xmas.

Weird. I went to go fill one out for a missing gift i sent to my cousin and the form asked what was in the box and wanted me to choose from a drop down list of items...none of which were what was in the box. It only had "money, electronics, cremated remains, stamps, medical". It was a toy (A funko pop to be exact).

same here..the box I sent had a bunch of different Christmas items in it..I noted them all in the box below that said Notes..figure they can figure it out on their own!

Sister-in-law lives about 25 miles away. I shipped her gifts last Monday via UPS Ground for $9 that were delivered the next day. She shipped her package last Saturday for $21 with the USPS and it just came today.

Just another example why I rarely send anything via the USPS, regardless of the time of year.

I had a package via DHL from Malaysia earlier this month. DHL was late...by 1 day. It took them 3 days and normally it’s 2. They moved 10,000 miles in 3 days which was late and it took the USPS 7 days to move a local package.
