USPS Tracking

People in my neighborhood’s Facebook group just collectively figured out our neighborhood hasn’t received mail since Christmas Eve, and that wasn’t even the mail for Dec. 24th, it was a make up route for the mail we hadn’t received on the 23rd. I’m thinking someone should venture down to the post office and make sure they’re still alive.

*UPDATE*!!

I received a text update from USPS and my son's package has LEFT THE STATE OF NC!!!

and it's arrived to the DULUTH MN DISTRIBUTION CENTER

which I guess, technically is closer to Eau Claire, Wisc than NC.... so it's progress, right??

:rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

so far we're at 25 days to leave the state when it should have been there in 7 days total.

I don't consider that a win for the USPS...:headache::headache:

I don't consider it a win either. Mine are now at 21 and 19 days,,still not made it to FL and still not ,made it to MD :(

Since resolving the case of my missing package that took 22 days to travel across one state line, USPS has sent me multiple emails asking for my feedback to “let them know how they’re doing.” Do they really need me to tell them?! :rotfl2: They will use my “insights to improve their processes.” C’mon, USPS, just leave well enough alone...

We are closing in on 2weeks since I mailed my 2-day priority USPS package. There have been no updates or movement since the 23rd. I feel like USPS should refund me.

I shipped something I sold on Ebay on December 9th from WNY to Georgia. I ship all my items 2 day Priority. Last time it was scanned was the 11th, in Rochester, an hour from my house. It still claims "your package is still on the way but arriving late." My buyer put in a lost mail claim but who knows. They were one of a kind mid century pendant lights. I did insure the package but not sure what the next move is.

I received by email a survey on the service I received on my inquiry on my missing package and I told them I was lied to! I was told on the 4th that it would arrive on the 11th, and that's why I picked that delivery service, and if I'd known it would take 5 weeks or longer, I would have picked something faster OR walked out an gone to UPS or FedEx!

it's really ridiculous!
:headache:

I still have 2 packages that have not arrived with items I bought on Black Friday. Orders I placed with the SAME company after that have shown up (albeit slower than normal). Luckily it was just things I purchased for myself ... but it's extremely annoying! And of course the charge hits your CC when the item ships, I really enjoy for items in November that I may be lucky to see by February! :p

I got a call from the postmaster in Englewood FL this morning in response to my 'where's my pkg' inquiry. She says they still don't know where the pkg is or what happened to it. But she will keep checking on it and keep me informed. That doesn't help me when it was gifts for a friend, one of which was handmade and can't be replaced, and there were also chocolates in there, which are probably a melted mess 3 weeks later :( I no sooner hung up with her, that I got a tracking email from the post office, last tracking report says Dec 16,,and still says 'your item will be delivered late, is in transit to the next facility. How many facilities does it have to go thru going from MD to FL? It should have been there within 3 days..yet 3 weeks later, still nothing. My other one coming from MI still is MIA too. This just sucks!

I believe I win...

Item ordered and shipped via UPS. Paid extra for the super fast shipping (item was ordered Christmas Eve...it's a medication). Got delivery notification that it was delivered YESTERDAY. Huh...no package that I could find. We get UPS deliveries regularly (my home is a business). We have a regular guy. I look in the usual spots, though the tracker says "delivered to side door". It wasn't at our front door...it wasn't at our side door (note, side door is never used. There is a massive hot tub blocking it). It wasn't in our barn (where our usual guys brings everything). It wasn't in my car (which has happened before). I'm ready to call shenanigans on the delivery. Then I had a hairbrained idea...I checked one last spot...and lo and behold THERE IT IS.

Literally THROWN OVER MY BACKYARD FENCE INTO MY BACKYARD. Technically about 20 feet from my "side door".

Hey, UPS...

So I ordered something from Amazon Prime on Monday around 8pm, I mentioned earlier that a lot of stuff for us tends to be from local warehouses. This one was like that. It arrived at my local post office about 5:30am this morning from one of the local Amazon warehouses and was out for delivery by 6:30am. It was delivered inside my mail slot (like my other package a few weeks ago) about 2:45pm. Clearly the arrangement Amazon has with the USPS is favorable to us consumers.

UPS used to throw packages over my husband's patio wall (he was on the first level) when he was at this one apartment complex years ago. I get that it was a bit hard to reach down with the wall height but they could have at least tried instead of clearly throwing it.

I hate when that happens, it's like sometimes things get stuck in a weird limbo when it's associated with a black friday purchase. A couple years ago that happened to my husband when he purchased something from JCP as a black friday deal and then about 1 1/2 weeks later purchased something else. The second purchase came super fast the first one was like 3 1/2 weeks total from purchase to delivery date.

I've seen weird stuff happening. Once my wife ordered some PJ's from VS. Nothing terribly interesting - just standard cotton, buttoned PJ's. But we were waiting almost a month for the USPS delivery. So she asked me to call to figure what could be done, and customer service said they'd just send another one that arrived in a couple of days. Then the original shipment arrived. When we asked what to do with it, customer service said don't worry about it, so she's got two sets. I don't think they really wanted a return since they would probably be paying for return shipping, and because I understand that VS just shreds any returned items. They have no way of knowing if they've been worn, and it prevents unauthorized resale (i.e. an employee just grabbing a bunch of returns that might otherwise go into the trash).

Still - this year has been absolutely filled with tons of complaints over USPS service times. We always hear about the occasional piece of mail/package that gets lost or delayed, but this year has just been horrendous. I'll leave it at that.

We had that happen, too... but the later order was not sent via USPS like the first order was.

I would respond. They should do their job and deliver your packages in a timely manner.

My inquiry moved three packages. They were processed through three sorting facilities and delivered within forty eight hours. Not bad. 👍 Now I only have one package that's been sitting for a week.

Here is a new one... I bought my daughter an Instax camera for Christmas but this dummy forgot the film. So I ordered some and also exchanged a book I accidentally bought a duplicate of. Amazon said they would arrive today. About an hour ago here comes the delivery guy.. he is in the back of his truck for a long time. Finally he comes over and says he can't find them! So I guess they either went on the wrong route or were left at the warehouse. Whoops. Maybe tomorrow.

I submitted a "Where the heck is my package" request through USPS. It's in God's hands now.
