Using with FP+ with someone's band?

So could DH and DS swap bands with DD and myself? Clearly going from boys to girls.

I would bet a substantial amount of money that they really don't care! They don't want one person to have another person's entry into the park. But i think once you are in the park with your MB, you can use the FP's on it as you see fit, including letting a stranger use it if you wanted to do that for some weird reason....

I was wondering this too, but my circumstance is a bit different. My DD and husband have to unexpectedly leave our trip early due to my daughters sport.:mad::mad: even though I confirmed with the coach, before we decided our dates!!!:headache::headache::headache:
So I was wondering if our last few days if my other two daughter could use their bands? This would help the most with Epcot.

OT
I have to say due to the one choice of soarin and TT we are now not that fond of this park. It use to be on our top 2 parks. However this trip, we do not have a day dedicated to Epcot, it is a hopping evening park now.

We had to move our March trip to Memorial Day weekend for our DD's sport also, so glad I booked Southwest and could move them but the hotel was twice the price since it was a holiday. Then we made Regionals and I had to move it to July. Which if we won, guess when that was scheduled? July of course.

I'll go OT with you. Epcot at RD wasn't the same. My DD's were NOT happy I picked Soarin' over TT for the FP+ our first day. Even if the fourth FP+ had been available only Maelstrom and M&G were left. Second day I had planned a FP+ for TT instead but couldn't move it, no availablity, and we could see it was going to rain. We did the single rider line once that day. And then TT closed because of rain so we never used our FP+.

Is it possible to use someone's else band to ride using FP+?

Basically for Epcot, we don't have a total of 6 that we want to use for the day. I have 3 but my girlfriend only has 2. is it possible for me to book her 3rd FP+ and use her band to ride with?

Yes of course you can. The MBs aren't permanently attached to your body. Just hand them over to the person riding. They don't care who uses the FP if they even bother to look at the name.

We have ToT reservations for both my sister and I but I never ride it and she rides it twice. =) I don't like the ride, I usually catch Beauty and the Beast while she's doing ToT

What if the person whose MB/FP you want to use isn't in the park? For instance, I booked FP's this week for myself and 2 friends, but my friend's are now not coming in until the day after me. Can I use the extra FP's I booked for them myself the first day? Or will they not be "active" since their tickets (they have AP's) were not used to get into the park?

Yes you can use the extra FP. We use FPs off bands that haven't been used to enter the park every single week. The system is not like the old FP system. It doesn't verify against entry, it verifies if you have a FP, that's it. The prebook system cannot work at all if you needed to verify entry. And the 4th FP doesn't verify entry either, not sure why anyone would think it does. They just don't want super planners to book a FP for every hour of each day. Spreads the FPs around more.

So this upcoming trip we are going as a family of 5. If next trip DH and I do an adult only we can use the kids MBs (without purchasing tix) and have extra FP+ (without purchasing tix).

Is this fair and not cheating the system? Seems to be unfair. Just because you can, does it mean you should?

I see that yes all 5 of us bought tix and entered the park but only 2 want to ride Splash so 2 of us use 2 other MBs. That's much different.

Out of curiosity, I tried something...

DH and DS are leaving WDW 2 days early. DS has an annual pass, but DH is using a 6 day PH. The day he leaves is the last day the PH will be used. So DD and I will be touring by ourselves during this time. I was able to make FP+ reservations for DH and DS for the afternoon after they left (which DD and I might be able to use) because they will be in the parks that morning and DH will be using the last day on his PH. But when I tried to make FP+ reservations for them on the following day, I could not, because my DH's ticket was deemed to be 'ineligible'. This makes sense, because he already has 6 days of FP+ reservations on a 6 day PH. DS was 'eligible', which makes sense, because he has an AP.

So long story short, you can't even make FP+ reservations if you don't have any valid days remaining on your ticket.

It has to have a valid ticket on it to be used. We all have APs so we don't run out of ticket days, we just hit the 7day limit on APs. Also we use the kids FP because DH can't link his ticket, not to get extra FP. We only use 3 or less. We are local and normally only in the parks for a couple hours. He just uses one of our boys MB so I can actually prebook the rides like every other park goer. Which is how I know it works. Not to abuse/cheat anything TYVM.

Yes the online system will not allow reservations for FP+ for magic bands on days that the tickets attached do not work. The in-park system does not require a valid park ticket to be attached to the MB so you can use the extra band for in-park FP+ reservations. Those are based on what is available when you get to the Kiosk.
