using points for DL?

anyone use their points at one of the DL hotels? Which one did you use and were you happy with it? We're looking at either the Paradise Pier or the DL Hotel (3rd one we don't have enough points for). Can I have your thoughts please?

You might want to see the Grand Cal Villas if those points are out. But Paradise Pier is very nice. We had a park view.

I have stayed at both the Disneyland Hotel (twice) and the Grand Californian, using points all three times. The Disneyland Hotel is really nice, you can't go wrong there. Of course the Grand California was superb, and wasn't as far of a walk to the parks, which was a bonus. With the Disneyland Hotel, you either have to walk through downtown Disney, which can seem forever after a long day at the park, or use the monorail to and from Disneyland, the monorail station is a short walk from the hotel. Don't know much about Paradise Pier, but of the two, my choice would still be the Disneyland Hotel. Have a great time.

We stayed 3 nights at Paradise Pier, I asked for a room with a patio and they placed us on the pool floor (can't remember what floor). Concierge was on another floor but that didn't matter to us. Otherwise it was great, CM's were great in lounge and at the hotel. Short walk across the st. thru the Grand Californian to the parks. Good luck!

We stayed at the GCH on points and it was worth it. Great room and super fast walk to the parks! We enjoyed the whole trip and can't wait to go back in a few years and stay at the Villas at GCH!!

looking into the Villas, now why didn't I think of that. Hopefully the studio is not too hard to get at 7 months? Any idea?
