Using points for AKL concierge ??

We just booked AKL concierge on points for next November. One of the reasons is because we want to do the Sunrise Safari. My question is, will concierge contact me prior to 90 days out so that I can let them know I want to book this, or do I have to do this all on my own? If on my own, who do I contact and how do they know I have a concierge reservation booked?

We are staying at the AKL concierge in February for one night useing our DVC points and we did receive a phone call from the concierge a view weeks ago welcoming us.

We also received a conformation letter from DVC for our reservation with a reservation number.

I do not know if the safari books up real fast, but I would call AKL and asked for the concierge level and see what the earliest that you can make reservations.

I recommend that you call them and book it as soon as your concierge room is confirmed.

AKL club level is one of the best on the property. They will e-mail you and call you to plan your itinerary. However if you have not yet made contact with them and you are at your 90 day booking window, Call them to make sure they book you first thing. I worked with Martha, Andrea, Allanna, and Ann, all were fabulous and as professional and as nice as can be. Have a great time!

Hi, sloneta. I just did this yesterday, so it's real fresh in my mind.
The AKL mailed me a packet, and it contained brochures and a couple of forms. You can fill out the forms with information about where you want to dine, dinner shows, food items in room etc...
You can mail this form back, but they also give you a phone number to call (I called instead of mailed).

Anyway, onto your main Q-
We are more than 90 days out (arrive April 15th) and we told the concierge planner we wanted the Sunrise Safari. She told us that she would book it for us at the 90 day mark.

I'm not really sure why there is a 90 day advance booking limit, as this method is the equivalent of booking it further out...
