Using Old Non-Expiring Passes...

My husband and I have an anniversary trip to Orlando at hand, and while Disney isn't on our main to-do list, we do have some passes which we upgraded to non-expiring at the end of our trip in 2006. They are attached to our hotel key cards from that trip. Now that magic bands are in use, will we be able to use our cards at the turnstiles for admission, or will we need to go somewhere and swap them out for the bands?

You'll need to exchange them for a new plastic ticket that has the RFID chip. You can enter the park by using the plastic ticket and you do not need to purchase a MagicBand.

A Ticket window or Guest Relations at any park or Disney Springs.

Is Disney Springs what used to be Downtown Disney? We were thinking of going there one evening prior, so that would be more convenient, I imagine, if we could swap them out then and then not spend time on that on our one day at the parks.

Yes! :) It's the new DTD. There is now one Guest Relations building at Disney Springs in the new Town Center area.

Wonderful! I'm going to bring our cards and our kids' cards to swap them out - really appreciate your help!

If you have a MyDisneyExperience account, and will be getting MagicBands for an on-site stay, I believe 2006-vintage tickets can be added to your account via the web site, and will then be associated with the bands, without requiring going to a ticket/GR window. (Admittedly, this will be less helpful if you won't be getting MBs.)

But be aware that many of the best places from DTD in 2006 are no longer there. For example the Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers Club are no longer. :guilty:

I have been sitting on some old tickets for a while, does anyone know what happens with the plus points? I had 10 day, non expiring with plus points good for use at Disney quest, water parks or the 9 hole golf course.
