Using my family's tickets to get more fast passes

My daughter, mother, father, and myself each got 5 day passes. We were going to do each park once, except magic kingdom we were going to do twice. My mother and father no longer want the second day at magic kingdom. Can my daughter and I use their tickets for double the fast passes? I wasn't sure if it would let us, since they would not be putting their finger prints at the gate.

Yes you can!

We have annual passes and I will be bringing both DH's and DS's bands with me on my solo trip in May so I can get at least 9 FPs per day. Some may say that isn't right or fair but disney hasn't closed this loop hole yet so enjoy it while you can. Disney doesn't care who's name comes up as long as the FP is valid when you scan it.

Oh great! So they don't have to have "entered" the park in order to use them? I don't think it is unfair, they did, after all, pay for their tickets, they are doing people a service by not being there and crowding up the parks more :)

At this point, no, they do not need to enter the park to use their fastpasses.

So if I buy an extra set of 5 day passes and never use them, could I get double FP's every day? What if I invest in a third set of tickets, could I get triple FP's? If I go every year, this could be a great plus - when I die I'll just leave one five day pass to DD and the other to DS.

Maybe I should just buy four "extra passes" and get 5 sets of FP's a day, and plan on leaving 2 to DD and 2 to DS.

Only problem is the no-expiration option has been discontinued. I think tickets have a "shelf-life" now.

The one issue that I see is that tickets need to be activated, so in your case you could purchase extra tickets but they'll expire 14 days after they're first used to enter a park. Until a ticket is scanned at a turnstile it's essentially a non-expiring, unactivated voucher.

I'm not sure if that's true. When i buy tickets and haven't yet arrived to "activate" my ticket, i still book FPs at 60 days. If one of my party was tired from traveling and didn't enter the park day 1, their FPs would still be valid. Even though non-expire tickets are no longer offered, all tickets are still good forever before first use.

The way I understand it, if you buy an extra set of tickets and put them in a separate MDE account, you'll be able to prebook extra FPs but you won't have to redeem the tickets, they can just sit there. And as of right now, they are good forever until first use.

The tickets have been activated, we went last week, but two of our party does not want to do a second day of magic kingdom, one was enough for them :)

DVCcurious it is not a "loophole" if we paid for our extra tickets! If someone wants to buy 5 1-day passes to get 15 fast passes, that is their money and their choice (I'd never fork out that kind of cash, but if you want to, I'd never get upset by it). My 3 year old daughter wants to meet Ariel, that's the only fp we planned to get extra, since she gets tired by noon and wants to go home anyway.

I foresee this thread ending poorly. popcorn::

I see you are new here, this kind of stuff generally doesn't go over well, as a heads up. You know, blatantly using loopholes to get around the system. Keep in mind if anything happens that renders those tickets used or redeemed, you really aren't going to have a leg to stand on if you complain.

Disney World rules clearly say that FastPasses are non-transferable. However, it's a silly rule and common sense tells me that if you paid for this product (the park tickets that include fastpasses) it's yours and you can give it to whomever you like. This is America, after all.

Let whomever amongst you who would not use one of your party's fastpasses because they don't want it cast the first stone. (Before you start throwing those stones, you should also be able to say you would never have called a stranger's handing you an unused paper fast pass as a present on their way out of the park "pixie dust".)

Looking at the bigger picture - This is potentially a great revenue maker for Disney. Conceivably guests could buy double the park tickets to get double the fast passes - essentially buying FastPasses. Hmmm...I wonder why Disney hasn't closed this loophole?
