Using Mears with a late arrival flight

Looking like our most "affordable" flight option has an arrival at 9:55 PM. We are considering using Mears to our resort but I have read that they decrease the number of buses that late and the express Mears doesn't run that late. Any experiences with Mears with late arrival? We will have 4 kids 8,6, 2 and 6 months with us. I'm starting to think we may have better luck with a car service. We have never arrived late before but flights are outrageous. Thanks!

With an arrival that late, I would absolutely do car service. Otherwise you likely won’t get to your resort until 12:30 or 1.

I agree with the previous poster. They can be pricey, but we’ve found them to be reliable. We use Happy Limo, but they are one of the pricier options. We have been picked up in a VW Atlas SUV whenever we’ve used them.

Another thought occurred to me though. You will probably want to check about car seats for your little ones with whatever service you use. Good luck!

With a 9:55 PM arrival and four young kids, the biggest factor is usually predictability. Late arrivals can mean longer waits with shared transportation, especially if flights are delayed or baggage takes time. After a long travel day, having a vehicle ready and going directly to your resort can make a big difference with little ones.


Many families in that situation choose private transportation simply to avoid additional stops and waiting. Whatever option you choose, I’d recommend confirming how late service runs and what the backup plan is if flights arrive after schedule.
