Using Disney gift card as payment.....

Can you use a visa gift card for online room payment or does it have to be a Disney gift card?

I just counted the gift cards I used for paying off our May/June trip. I used
39 for the BC portion
and 41 for the POR portion. All entered online. LOL! Yes, 80 cards! I did a little at a time. Thank goodness for a 10 key and years of entering grades for students online.

One of the reasons I wanted to "invest" in gift cards to pay off our trip is because it helps me to save up for our trip in little spurts. Also, we just upgraded to the Disney Premier Card...so they are giving us 5% on certain categories for the first 3 months. One of the categories is grocery stores. SOOOOOO, I'm thinking, I'll purchase some Disney gift cards (using vacation savings) get the 5% from that purchase plus get Kroger 2x fuel points. That's my logic there..... but I wanted to take advantage of making the "big" purchase at Kroger before my 5% period was up and it goes to 2% back.
