We have been blessed with a surprise trip to Disney thanks to an awesome CM who will be "signing" us into the park in a few days. We are experienced users of the DAS pass for our autistic son when we had regular/AP tickets, but how would that work with her getting us into the park? I am assuming they would still allow for accomodations?

I am unfamiliar with how this is all done but assume we won't even be able to use our magic bands (he has all his DAS info stored on that- we usually just renew it every trip). TIA!

I am the DAS holder and my fried went into the park with her sister blue ID (!so her sister scanned her in ) we went to GR and they have my fried a card to use for that day so she could go on rides with me with my DAS.

not sure if they still do it but his way or not but this is what they did 2-3 years ago for us. So just go to GR and Explain Your situation and they will be able to help you

You will need to go into GS every day to get the DAS linked to whatever ticket media the CM is using to get you in, I believe. At least that's what we were told by our friend who is a CM when we were discussing a future trip with my niece who would need a DAS.

I read on another site what disneyoma said; you will need to renew your das everyday, but you can still get it

My ex used to be a CM and we used it for our son many times. As others have said, the main difference is that you have to go to Guest services daily to renew the pass. You should still be able to link everything to your magic band, and after renewing the pass the first of the trip, it was a very quick process for us to go in and say “ We are here on a CM pass and need to renew the DAS for the day”. They can see that you were there previously that week and it is very quick and easy, you just have to budget times for the line at GS. And you can also set up your first ride as you are renewing daily.

On our last day on our trip where a CM was signing us in, guest relations offered us the ability to get a physical card with a picture on it. There were trade offs, all of our tickets would be marked as ineligible for an electronic DAS for the duration that the paper DAS was valid for (which is to be expected) and they could only make it valid for up to two weeks and some attractions may have wanted the person on the DAS to be present to issue a return time. We didn't do it since it was our last day, but it is something that you might be able to get if you ask. There are certain other cases they issue a paper DAS still as well, apparently but just know that this is an exception to the rule and you may or may not be successful in getting this with a CM signing you in, depending on the CM at guest relations. But if you don't know it is an option you can ask for, most don't volunteer the information, so worth a shot to ask.
