Using 2008 Dvc Points For 2009 Cruise

My friend has a January use year with 198 pts for 2008 = can she use these points for a cruise for 2009 next summer....or does she have to use them by next January 2009

There is no January UY..

But if she is within her banking rules, she can bank the 2008 points into 2009 and use them for a summer 2009 cruise.

I don't know if you actually have to bank them first since you can book up to 2 years ahead of time. Last year we called and arranged our cruise for this April and used our points from Dec 06 and most of Dec 07. I didn't bank them first, I just called MS and pushed the button for making a reservation on DCL. Then I told them what I wanted, I didn't have to bank my points first. Your friend can call MS just to ask questions to make sure.
