We are using 2 types of tickets on our trip. We have a 4 day DVC member special ticket and a 1 day park hopper comp ticket that my husband's friend who is a WDW caricaturist sent us per person. We will be loading the 4 day passes into MDE. Those passes are good for one park per day only, and you have to visit all 4 parks. We are using the comp tix for our 2nd MK day. So, how do we do this? Do we just present the comp tix at the gate or do those get loaded into MDE also? If we need to just present the ticket at the gate, how do you get FP+ for that day? I assume it is no different than a person showing up at the gate to buy a ticket. Do those people get magic bands also?

So, how do we do this?

1. Do we just present the comp tix at the gate

2. or do those get loaded into MDE also?

3. If we need to just present the ticket at the gate, how do you get FP+ for that day?

4. Do those people get magic bands also?

1 & 3. You CAN do that, if you like, but you'd not be able to make advanced FP+ reservations for that ticket if you don't input it into your MDE account.

2. Yes, load it into your MDE account.

NOTE: Before you go to the park gate on your FIRST day at WDW, go to any Guest Relations and have the CM set the ticket that you want to use THAT DAY to the highest priority in your MDE account.
THAT will be the ticket that gets used at the gate when you enter the park.

When you are ready to use the OTHER ticket, before you go to the park gate on THAT day, go to any Guest Relations and have the CM set the ticket that you want to use THAT DAY to the highest priority in your MDE account.
THAT will be the ticket that gets used at the gate when you enter the park that day.

You can have the priority of tickets set and re-set as many times as you like or need to do so.

4. Guests receive complimentary MBs if they stay at a WDW resort.
It doesn't matter what kind of ticket is purchased.

In fact even if you don't buy a ticket (if you have a room-only ressie) you will still get a MB with an on-site stay.

And as Robo said "prioritizing" your tickets at GR is pretty simple to do. I've never heard of the special 4-day DVC tickets where you have to visit all 4 parks, but I am guessing they work the same way as regular tickets.

Thank Robo, you're the best! :thumbsup2

We had to do this and it wasn't easy - it took an hour to get all 4 of our tix in the right order...I was glad we still had the hard tix from our rundisney tix so that we could just use those at gate entry on the days we planned to use that ticket instead of constantly switching up at guest services...

I really hope there is an MDE upgrade soon that allows the guest to prioritize themselves...

Yes - we were at DHS. We stopped to swap them prior to the next morning. It was a long process - they gave us an extra set of fast passes as a parting gift without us asking for them....not exactly sure what was wrong with the accounts that made it so complicated - all 4 of us have a different combo of tickets on our accounts though so everyone was different.

I don't think you even need to switch priorities. In Sept we went loaded with 2 types of tickets. a 5 day ticket for our regular park days, and our former 10 day WP&M. Everything worked as needed.

Yes, you DO need to set the priorities if you have tickets with overlapping assets.

For instance, if you have one ticket that is a park-hopper and one that is NOT a park-hopper.

If the ticket-reader deducted a a day from the Hopper on a day that you did not intend to hop, you've unintentionally lost that asset.
