Useless facts/Chit Chat Thread

Added a new toy(s) to my camper this weekend:

The old TV in my camper was not digital and the factory had gone into the TV and disconnected the internal speakers and hardwired them to the 4 speakers in my camper. This little unit could not power those speakers and always sounded like crap. Also, there is no need to listen to TV outside the camper. Plus it was a tiny 7 inch screen and I could barely see it.

Soooooo for Christmas I got a 10 1/2 inch Digital fold down television and installed it this weekend. I also got a Wineguard RV antenna for when I go to campgrounds without cable. (The antenna that comes with a T@B is also a piece of crap).

Next weekend I'm installing an AM/FM CD with integrated XM. This unit CAN power the T@B speakers so should sound much better.

Oh for anyone that is curious, the Wineguard antenna can be mounted directly to an RV, but I didn't want to. I used brackets to mount it to a 6 1/2' piece of 3/4" electrical conduit. I got a 2 foot piece of rebar and drive that into the ground, then slip the electrical conduit over the rebar.

I remember this summer you said you wanted to do these upgrades, it looks great :thumbsup2 I hate straining to see the TV.

Busy weekend - baby shower for our daughter - then took her back to Glens Falls with all the stuff.

Wondered where you've been Al...:confused3
How'd the shower go..for your daughter I mean :lmao: She's due in April right?..

Hey Al, I'm gonna be up in your area visiting the outlaws next month. Think the snow will be gone by then?

If I say no, I'm lying......

If I say yes, I'm disturbed...

Rog - I spotted that about a month ago, but didn't know how to copy the banner to ask the same question. Is this one of those double standards that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm?

The muzzle of a lion is like a fingerprint - no two lions have the same pattern of whiskers.

Useless fact for the day:

A pregnant goldfish is called a twit.

(think about this next time you call someone that, I bet you won't be able to say it with a straight face!:lmao: )

I'm going to look for a twit today. I doubt it'll take long to find one. (not a pregnant goldfish)

That was adorable!:lovestruc

Not a fan of rats..but I have to say even that was cute!

My cat LOVES my dog. He was basically raised by the dog(we found him abandoned at about 4 weeks) He took to the dog right away, he thinks of him as his mother (or so he's told us.. )
He isn't as nice to us..as he is to the dog. :sad2: Damn cat.
