Use Points with Two Contracts

I have points with two different contracts, same use year. I went in to book a trip and the way it seems to be set up is you must use ALL the points in one before jumping to the other. I wanted to use 50 points from one and the balance from the 2nd but I couldn't figure out how to do it. Is it me, or do I need to call Member Services ??

The only ones who can do that is MS. The online system takes all before going to the second one.

The only time it will pull from the second is if it has banked or borrowed points…those will automatically be used once you confirm the booking.

The only way you can do it online without contacting MS is to be in a position to make a phantom reservation first, using the points over and above 50 in the contract that you want to limit to make another reservation, which you then cancel after making the desired reservation.

Booking at 7 months
Contract 1 has current Uy points and will borrow exact amount I need prior to booking so they’re available. This contract will be selected 1st.
Contract 2 has a few banked points I want to use but I want to avoid using the current UY points. This contract will be selected 2nd.

Do I need to book a resy to hold those current uy points to avoid them being used?

When you reach the point where you choose which contracts to use, put them in the order of Contact 1 then Contract 2 as you have defined them in your post.

Points will be taken in this order: Banked points from Contract 2, borrowed points from Contract 1, current points from Contract 1. No current points will be taken from Contract 2 as long as the above points are adequate to book the reservation.
