I've been checking each day to see if my fare has dropped since USAir will voucher the difference for your already booked fare, if you call them after it dropped.

My original fare was $230 round trip...PHL to MCO...non-stop both ways.

Today, I see that I can get the same itinerary for $205 r/t.

Also, you could get a $150 fare for my dates if I could leave at a different time on the departure.

Some legs are as low as $49 each way (I can't take advantage due to the times i have to travel).

I am leaving NEXT WEEK, so this is for that period. But, I also checked August and see that fares are hovering around $198 round trip. I consider anythign under $200 for PHL to MCO to be a good deal...esp since you can fly non-stop, which is HUGE, IMO.

Everyone who flies USAir to MCO should check the USAir website immediately ands see what you can get. These $49 legs never last long. I've seen them come and go in the space of an hour.

I noticed that my itinerary dropped in price last week - $60 per ticket! I called US Air and FORTY FIVE MINUTES LATER and one very BEEYOTCHY ATTITUDE LATER, I was able to get the voucher refund. They didn't want to give it to me, even though it was the same exact itinerary! First it was a computer problem...THAT was why I was seeing a lower fare (um, so????)...then it was a "promotional fare" (again...NOT seeing the point!). I had to ask to a speak to a supervisor before I got someone that would even entertain the idea of a refund voucher. I was not a happy camper! After all, when I booked the flights in January, I specifically asked two different people at US Air about lower fares and refunds, etc. and was told the onus was on me to find the lower fares on the same itinerary (which I did!) but when I called, no one wanted to help me. Grrrrr. But it's all settled now, and I'm much happier.

THANK YOU!!!!

We are going in October and the fare dropped to $99 each way from $120 each way. You just saved us $200! I am going to book today. :yay:

Awesome!! I'm glad someone could benefit from this info. The fares are bouncign around all over the map today. I've been watching them since this morning and they seem to be changing several times an hour....My fare went back up to $350...but them dropped to $204 when I checked an hour later....now it is back up again.

It is scary. You can book for $350 and think you got a decent fare...and the person who books 15 minutes later can get a $204 fare for the same flights.

Oh I wish I could get that lucky. I live in Washington state, and airfare across the US isnt too expensive, but not that cheap either.

Thanks for the notice!

I now booked thru AAA on US Air for Dec. Saved me over $200 from my initial AAA quote 2 weeks ago! We got $99 each way!

Question -- If the rates drop again can I get the lower rate even though I went thru AAA? The AAA agent I spoke with said no, once locked can't be changed, but I swear a friend did it last year. Is this an agent not wanting me to bug them thing? Or a AAA policy?
