USAir FF Miles Redemption ?

AGGGHHH!!!! I hate calling and getting automated menus that you never know which button to push only to get a person that doesn't understand or speak english!

Anyway, on to my question.....

Say I have 100,000 miles in my account. When I go to cash out my miles can I get 4 tickets in each one of my family members names or will they only let me cash them out if I am the one using them?

I don't think that the person that I finally got on the phone understood what I was talking about.

You can ticket anyone you wish to with your miles. If you plan to use your miles however, be aware that there are limited award seats available on each flight. When I plan to fly to Hawaii, I call 330 days ahead....at midnight and sometimes they still aren't available. Good luck.

I used DH's miles to get a ticket for my DD a couple of years ago with no problem. They did not seem to care whose name the ticket was in. You may have to try calling back until you get a person who can understand you.

I have actually found driving to the airport and doing it at a counter works out best for us. The ABE (Allentown) airport is not far from us and we have ALWAYS had lovely people try to get us the best flights, the best seats, our choice dates, etc.

I am so sick of automated phones or people with thick accents that I can't understand. Not just with the airlines, but all businesses.

So, if you have an airport close by, put on your best smile and be friendly and these folks WILL help you

Try going online and doing it. I cashed out our USAir miles that way and got tickets for DH, DD and myself. We were short about 80 miles and I was able to purchase these online as well. It was very easy.
