Urgh...now DH says why did you book the cheapest room? Questions!

So I'm finalizing all my plans. Told DH our final payment must be made on Nov 30. He has not been thrilled about going to Disney again but is willing to go make his DW happy. So I'm going through the details with him and he says...."we're going on vacation why did you book the cheapest hotel".....Well the reason is we decided this was going to be a budget trip! Now he wants to upgrade.

We're booked for Jan 14-21 and I booked with code ZVY. I just called to see if anything was available with that code for our dates and the only thing they had was Ft Wilderness cabins.

So to the point......what are the chances any rooms will open up? Also, if a room would open up after I make our final payment can we upgrade without a penalty?

because you are going over MLK weekend, i think the chances of anything opening up are slim and none, esp w/a code who's booking window has ended... but it doesn't help to call and ask (repeatedly!)... another thing you can do is when you get there/at check-in explain that you've had a change of heart regarding resorts and ask then if they have anything at another resort... or, enjoy it for what it is... WALT DISNEY WORLD!

Oh, we'll enjoy our stay. I actually excited about staying at Pop. We stayed at AKL 2 yrs ago and well we were so busy we really didn't have time to enjoy our resort surroundings...... so I'm glad we're going the cheaper route this time. I was just trying to pacify my DH!

The booking window for ZVY (and all the other codes associated with it for packages) is open until December 15th.
