Ups came today!!!!!

We are so excited UPS came today and delivered our package of gifts for our July 27th-Aug 1 visit

We received 4 luggage tags (they are sooooo much nicer than the ones you get from Disneyworld)

A Disneyland backpack ( I thought we only received a voucher for this to pick up at DL, but I guess not)

4 vouchers to pick up lanyards with pins ( I thought this was supposed to come in the package )

vouchers for perferred parade viewing (I had no idea we get this with the package )



vouchers for preferred seating at 4 different shows

vouchers for toontown madness

and 4 souvenier tickets with 4 different characters


Only a few more weeks after 9 months of planning

cool! you must have went with the disneyland company. I want them luggage tags!! can you post a pic of these? I saw some from the travel agent down my block and they were bright yellow and soooooo cute.

We purchased the package through Disney and got the Buy 3 get 2 Days free deal.

The luggage tags are rubber with a raised Mickey and Minnie celebrating (Mickey head balloon and confetti in the backround) and a Disneyland banner across the bottom. It may be the Disney Visa luggage tag because it says Disney rewards on the back. That is why we got the backpack too.

Oh how I fondly remember that doorbell ring and seeing the UPS guy. The first think out of his mouth was..."when are you going to Disneyland?" That truly made it feel real. Enjoy your trip!!!

We got ours today too! Of course, UPS called yesterday morning to let us know that it was coming (signature requiired) and then they didn't show up until 1:00 today! I was crawling the walls last night! We booked through Costco and got all of the things the other poster did (minus the backpack) but our luggage tags have Donald on them. They are so cute! We leave three weeks from today!

Wow. Fun! How'd you get that package?

We got the same stuff for our June trip. I booked it through the Disney Travel Company using my Disney VISA Rewards points. We got so many compliments on the back pack and luggage tags. I attached them to all of our bags that we carried in the parks.

We purchased our package through Disney.

I believe you get all the extra perks if you purchase a package through any travel agent and you get the gift card and character meal vouchers if you purchase through Costco. If you use your Disney Visa to pay for the package, you get the back pack too.

We originally were going to do room only with an AAA discount through Disney and purchase the tickets separtely but then the 5 for 3 deal came out so we purchase the package.

Yes, the GCH voucher just says to turn it in to the front desk at check in for the room reservation.

Get a package deal with a company that uses Walt Disney Traval Company.

So go through Disneyland.com (or by calling in), AAA, Costco Travel. Getawaytoday.com also uses them. I'm not sure about Ares Travel.

Each place has their own particular tweaks...the lanyard will be a certain color depending on what travel company you use (and I think GAT sends the lanyards in their package instead of the voucher), the pin might be different, the specific vouchers might be different. Costco gives the free character breakfast and a $20 giftcard. AAA gives you free parking. etc.


With the lanyard/pins, when you get the pin, feel free to trade it with the CM! Our CM offered to trade, and hubby did. DS and I kept the ones we got. It was a nice way for hubby to start trading!

As an FYI for anyone who hasn't traveled yet...if you're planning on upgrading your tickets to APs, say goodbye to those adorable "souvenir" tickets.

At least ASK if they can void them and let you keep them; we didn't think to do that. I don't know if they'll do that, but at least ask. What's the point of paying extra for the package (at the time we went, we would have done better money-wise by just getting the AP rate and buying the AP separately) if you can't keep your "souvenir" ticket?
