Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

Hi Kathy, Mom to Mom just saying a little prayer all will be fine with your son. Hopefully it is something minor that can be taken care of quickly. Sorry about the wait for the MRI that seems so unreasonable. Thinking about you. Elaine

I hope Markie can find out what's wrong sooner rather than later. Might be nothing serious, but not knowing has got to be awful.

I'm sure the updating helped a little bit. It's got to feel good to relive a fun day with friends.:thumbsup2

Continuing to pray for Markie that something opens up before Jan 3. Seems like such a long time to wait. I hope that he is feeling better too.

I love that Mark continued to try on hats on Marco Island!

:rotfl2: LOVE this pic!!!

It was then time to give a balloon to a young child in memory of my dad. I had wanted Andy to do it, but once we picked out the little girl, he got all choked up which got me crying, and Mark had to do it. She really liked her purple Mickey balloon.

And you got me all choked up! :goodvibes

Great pictures by Andy of the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade.

Very nice pic of you with 2 of your men!

Continued prayers for Markie. I cannot imagine the stress and worry you must be feeling about it all.

Kathy, Iv'e been MIA for a few days. Christmas has taken up all my time. I'm on batch 7 of Christmas cookies. This morning was lasagna and cinnamon rolls. Everything is in the freezer now so I have time to catch up. So sorry that Markie is stuck in the Medicine vortex. How awful to have to wait for follow-up diagnosis. (That's part of the reason I left Nursing) Hopefully it will turn out to be something very simple. Enjoying the Marco Island part of the trip and eagerly waiting for the Jan. trip.

Kathy, I am FINALLY all caught up and had so much to comment on; however, it all went out of my head when I read about Markie. My prayers are with you and I WILL come back and comment better, just had to let you know this prayer warrior is on it! Love you!!!:grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug:

Thanks, Judy. They gave him some medication until his appointment with the neurologist on January 3.

I hope everything is ok with Markie! Very scary.

Jill in CO

Thanks, Jill. We're going to Dubuque tomorrow and I'll see how he is doing for myself.

I know that the waiting is so hard for anyone much less for a mother. Our kids are never too old for us to worry about them. They can be 3 or 23 and it wouldn't matter....they are our babies forever.

Great update! It sounds like you and Nicki had a wonderful day of shopping and chatting. Dinner looks amazing not matter where you ate. ;)

Thanks, Lisa.

We had a blast shopping. It continues to amaze me that you would think we've known each other forever and not just a few years.

Kathy you must be so worried about your son, Markie. I pray everything is fine with him and they figure out what is causing his headaches.

I LOVE the hat pic with Mr Mark ! :lmao:

Thank you; I'm trying to keep a positive outlook...but so hard when your baby (even if 23 years old) is hurting.

Thanks...my husband is a total goof.

Hi Santa...you scamp you

I am very worried about Markie too so you better call me and let me know what is going on with my nephew (well since I am your kid sister he is my nephew right?) And kids are always little to their parents...ask my mother who still treats this 39 year old chick like a toddler :lmao:

We ate at the Boathouse that night...remember Mark picking on us because Todd had a taco salad and I had a club sandwich? No fish for us :rotfl:

I do not know why you keep calling me Santa.:confused3

I will let you know how he is when we get back home on Friday late afternoon....we're leaving at noon to see him coach tomorrow and then taking him and Alisha to dinner, going to the casino and spending the night.

The Boathouse! Gee...I really need to take better notes. Yes, that was the night no fish. If I'm not mistaken, I drank by myself that night too.

Hi Kathy, I hope its nothing serious with Mark! Now I get to worry about you and Ann stressing out! :grouphug:

Thanks, Betsy...me too. I'm trying not to stress.

Awww  Kathy! I understand why you are worried about Markie and want answers as quickly as possible. It would seem to me he could request an MRI referal another location and get in quicker? Or is he in a small remote area where choices are limited? Until then - lots of prayers for you and him!

Loving Marco Island... and your comment about trying to decide if you and Mark should move there or closer to Orlando... I would love to relocate to someplace like Marco someday. How close is it to Orlando?

Thanks, Amy. I found out today that it is the neurologist he can't see until January 3 and he'll do the MRI then. I'll see him tomorrow...he said he felt a little better.

Marco is about 3 hours from Orlando.

Hey Kat... the baby is taking another nap so in-between doing laundry I am stopping by to try to catch up. Mel is going out tonight so I might be able to get up another update..

Great Thanksgiving pics! (Speaking of pics, I have to get those pics I owe you off the camera)

I don't want to say what it looks like Andy is doing here..... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I know...I know. :lmao:

I think we need an updated picture of that adorable boy. Yes, I am still waiting for you to post those pictures of my angels with their gifts.

Photo0835FourBySix.jpg

Great picture!!!!!

That is one of my favorite pictures from the trip.

Looks like everyone had a great time drinking around the world!!! If I was there I couldn't have done the tequila shots. :sad2: I can't drink it. There was one time I did too many tequila shots and I ended up sleeping in my friends front yard. :rotfl2::rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Mark swore off tequila after his bachelor party. ;)

THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
(nice job with the photoshopping Barry)

Isn't Barry cute?

HAHA!!! Guess what? We have never seen the COP.

In my opinion, you are not missing anything.

I love how you still give away the balloon in honor of your dad...

Thank you.

Love all the pics from the parade!

Andy did a great job.

I'm sad to see your time in Disney has come to an end but I know you and your BFF had a great time in Marco!

Sorry to hear about Markie. I will be praying for him (and you too!)

What good timing.... Someone is calling me from the bedroom.... pirate:

Thanks; I hope he is all right too. Alisha, his gf, has been taking very good care of him.

I certainly hope young Mark is ok, and that he can have the MRI done sooner. I hope everything works out. Keep us posted!

Sounds like it was another enjoyable day in Florida, both with the shopping and Restaurant That Shall Not Be Named. I'm glad Mark's ability to find chic hats is not limited to Disney!

Thanks, Mark; he doesn't normally complain about pain, etc. (being a football player and a wrestler), so I know he doesn't feel well.

It was a great day in Florida. Mark will find a hat anywhere. You should have seen what he tried on at Target the other night. :rotfl2:

so sorry to hear about Markie....hope there will be a cancellation and can get the MRI done sooner....waiting is so hard....prayers coming your way!

Thanks, Lisa. I hate waiting...I am NOT a patient person in certain situations and this is one of them.

Hi Kathy, Mom to Mom just saying a little prayer all will be fine with your son. Hopefully it is something minor that can be taken care of quickly. Sorry about the wait for the MRI that seems so unreasonable. Thinking about you. Elaine

Thank you, Elaine. You are very kind.

I hope Markie can find out what's wrong sooner rather than later. Might be nothing serious, but not knowing has got to be awful.

I'm sure the updating helped a little bit. It's got to feel good to relive a fun day with friends.:thumbsup2

Thanks, Andy. It is the "not" knowing that is driving me nuts.

It was fun remembering our fun day.

Continuing to pray for Markie that something opens up before Jan 3. Seems like such a long time to wait. I hope that he is feeling better too.

I love that Mark continued to try on hats on Marco Island!

Thanks, tink.

:rotfl2: LOVE this pic!!!

Very nice pic of you with 2 of your men!

Continued prayers for Markie. I cannot imagine the stress and worry you must be feeling about it all.

Thanks for the prayers, Brook (and the message on FB). I like that particular pictures with my men too.

Andy did great on the pictures.

Thank you, Jane. I hear you on the cookies; I made 15 batches of cookie and I don't want to see another cookie for a year!

As I mentioned earlier, it's not so much not being able to get the MRI; it's being able to get into the neurologist that they want him to see (he'll do the MRI at the same appointment).

I should do an update for this trip and for the PTR, but I just don't have it in me tonight. Maybe when we get back from Dubuque Friday afternoon.

Loving the Marco part of the trip almost as much as the Disney part because I know Marco...not Disney :) My parents have a house in Cape Coral (not too far north near Ft Myers) and we go there every year. We have been to Marco many many times. My boss lives on Marco for the winters and usually when I visit my parents, I visit him too. Can't remember what his condo complex is called, but its on the end near Tiger Tail beach.

Good luck with Markie. Headaches are scary when they don't usually complain of pain, you know something isn't right. I can't believe they are making him wait so long! Unreal! My dad woke up with a horrible headache last fall and went to the ER. He doesn't usually get them and this one was really really bad. Glad he didn't hesitate because it was a "bleeding stroke". Apparently they are really bad and we are lucky to still have him....like a 9% chance of surviving at all, much less with fully functioning brain! Sorry, not trying to scare you. That can't be what Markie has.....they would have seen that on a CAT scan. Hopefully it is just a nerve or something. Sending prayers your way...even though I don't know you and I don't pray :) Good luck!

Great Marco updates, looks like you guys are having such a great time! I love the beach there, it looks so relaxing, and I am not a beach person at all! It must be nice to go from Disney to there to kind of unwind after all the Disney craziness!

Hope Markie is ok, can't believe he has to wait so long to get more tests, that's frustrating! :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear Markie is not well. It must be frustrating to have to wait so long to see a specialist

Love the food pics and yay on trying on a hat even when not at Disney!

I hope Markie is feeling better!! I saw your post on fb and was sending lots of prayers and hugs!!

I am starving and shouldn't have read your last post the food looked good!!! I love the hat picture even not at Disney :thumbsup2

All caught up again. :goodvibes I hope your trip to see Markie has gone well and that's he feeling better. I've been sending lots of prayers your way.

Love the Marco pictures and updates. Hey..you not taking pictures when you were out with Nicki must mean that you were totally lost in conversation. :thumbsup2

I will respond tomorrow and do one, if not two, updates.

We went to Dubuque yesterday to see Markie coach his team in two duals. It was at the high school where Markie coaches and we hadn't seen the school as of yet and the weather was great, so we drove. Alisha, Markie's girlfriend, came for the second dual and she and I had a great visit -- she is such a sweet girl.

Here are a few pics of our boy in action (Markie is in the black pants, shirt and purple tie):

All caught up again, Kathy!

Sorry to read about Mark's headaches, and I cannot believe he has to wait all that time for more examinations. :sad2:
But I love the pics you took of him coaching!

Great Marco pics too! How fun you got to spend so much time with your little sis again! ;)

Sweet Kathy! First things first! I will pray my little heart out for Markie, absolutely, consider it done. Let me offer a little insight from my own experience that hopefully will set your mind at ease...

Several years ago, after I had my last beautiful DD, my whole body went wacky. Like scary wacky as in trips to the ER wacky. I had many, many tests over the course of several weeks looking for everything from brain tumors to lymphoma. In the midst of all this, I had several MRI's, full body ones and brain/neck/artery ones. This was mostly due to the excruciating headaches I was experiencing. The MRI's were all clean (thank God, I had 3 little girls to take care of!) and I was sent off to a neurologist. He reviewed all my scans and discussed what could be causing my dizziness and intense headaches. There were two top culprits...Meniere's disease or cluster headaches. I was suffering from cluster headaches. They are exactly as they sound, they come in waves and can last everyday for weeks. I took advil for them thinking that would help but all it did was cause rebound headaches. My point in sharing this excessively long statement is that headaches don't necessarily mean something ominous. My guess is if they saw any little thing on Markie's CT or were concerned, they'd have him scheduled for an MRI immediately. (With me, they moved lickety-split which only served to increase my anxiety level!) I'm sure Markie's will turn out to be nothing to worry about Kathy, that's what I'm praying for! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with the stress and worry of this situation though. Hang in there! You can congratulate me for being right after Markie's MRI.:goodvibes:hug:

I'll catch up on your fabulous updates a bit later, but I wanted to comment on this first! Oh, and the girls aren't getting their pictures done till Monday so that's why it's taking so long for me to get your card out!

Hi Kathy, I know it must have been a relief to see Markie looking so well...and HANDSOME! How awesome you got to go to the game and spend time with his girlfriend...(I hope my boys only bring home sweet girls...so far, so good)!

Looking forward to more updates when you have the time and I plan to get a few hugs from Marv on your behalf tonight!

Praying for Markie, Kathy. He looks like he really enjoys coaching, and I'm sure the boys are benefiting from his experience and obvious enthusiasm. :)

We've never been to Tiger Tail Beach; one of these years we have to go to that one instead.

Thanks for the info for my son. I'm thinking more and more it is either migraines or post-concussion syndrome. I would just rather know sooner rather than later. I spoke to him a couple of hours ago after he had been an all day tournament with his team and he said today he felt pretty good.

:goodvibes

Thanks, Jen. We did have a great time at Marco. I love going there after Disney...a little time to unwind before having to go back to work.

Thanks...I hope he is okay too. He's at such a good point in his life -- work, coaching and a very special lady, I hate for him to have any type of problem.

I'm sorry to hear Markie is not well. It must be frustrating to have to wait so long to see a specialist

Love the food pics and yay on trying on a hat even when not at Disney!

Frustrating is not the onlly word for it -- frustrated, nervous, anxious.

I have to learn to carry my camera at all times; Mark tried on hats at Meijers on Friday night again. :lmao::lmao:

I hope Markie is feeling better!! I saw your post on fb and was sending lots of prayers and hugs!!

I am starving and shouldn't have read your last post the food looked good!!! I love the hat picture even not at Disney :thumbsup2

Thank you, Shannon. The hugs and prayers are both appreciated.

:thumbsup2

Thank you, Tina. He is feeling better headache wise...the pills are working.

You are right...Nicki and I were lost in conversation.

Beautiful Marco pictures!! I would love to go there some day!!!

Thanks, Jen. You should go...it really is beautiful.
